Well if she can be believed there are things we don't know yet.

True, Jerry is not a rookie, he is disturbingly experienced in this aspect of team management.

I would have preferred the experience of Tex Schram as Cowboys GM. He made one, and only one, HC hire during his 30-year tenure.

Neither Lions coordinator will.

But I guess Glenn's brief time here at least gives him a chance.
Agree and if they wanted to talk to either they could have had the bye week vs stringing Mike along. Great family

I feel they are interviewing these guys for DC. Which is odd but not odd if they already know who the HC will be and are doing this on behalf of the new HC. Gruden LOVES Leslie Frazier and Saleh btw. As does Pete Carrol. I'm just saying, this might be more than a Rooney Rule thing.

You go public with interviewing two minority candidates this rapidly is what you do if you think you already know who you want, and/but he's not a minority candidate... neither is he someone you have to wait to find out if you have to wait to interview him 26 days from now.

So, that seems to make the most likely people in the pool are all of the white guys you can think of who aren't currently coaching in the post season.

Just sayin.

I am going to give Jerry and company the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he will actually have a real coaching search. I could live with Witten as our tight ends coach if we get a legitimate offensive and defensive coordinator.

Who am I fooling.:mad: This is Jason Garrett and Wade Phillips all over again.

Even if this is a Rooney rule interview there are numerous coaches who should've been considered. This is a complete joke. You know Jerry has dementia the way this coaching search is going.
Going like they usually go. You should read up on the search following Switzer that led to Chan Gailey. Out of no where former UCLA coach Terry Donahue became the leading candidate, having 3 in person interviews. He was retired and had been announcing college games on CBS. At the last minute he backs out and we find out Jerry only offered him $500,000 when avg HC salary was $1 million/yr back then.

Oh, this one is going just as expected.

So this is really big news, if true. Once RR totally satisfied, presumably in next days, there's nothing then to keep Joneses from making a hire.

What's more... cynics (like me) will look at it and think, "Why bother interviewing Frazier, if one of Saleh or Prime is going to be your HC anyway?"

Saleh is rooney rule too.

Well, if I wanted to be uninspired, there are certainly some other random dudes who could put me to sleep faster.

Right. He's Lebanese, so he qualifies. The point made is that, as a matter of deductive logic, if you were already dead set on hiring Prime, what's the point of interviewing both Saleh and Frazier.

The likelihood of Prime being hired took a hit, not that I was among those who ever gave it much credence in the first place.

But/and... repeating myself... if you're content to wait until PHI possibly doesn't end their season for another 26 days, it's probably not all that important to get minority interviews done so early and rapidly. The likelihood of KM being hired also just took a hit.
