I know there are a lot of fans here who aren’t fans of Dak. I also believe most Cowboys fans, regardless of opinions on the QB situation, are good people who respect our players even if they don’t like their play. Whatever they think of Dak, most would agree that Dak Prescott is a good dude, and in light of his gruesome injury, would show the class we would all expect Cowboys fans to exhibit.

So I have a request: For the few trolls who post completely ridiculous and disrespectful posts about Dak for no other reason to get a rise out of us- can we just avoid posting there altogether so those outrageous threads just die a natural death.

I was saddened to see a 27 year old young man who has suffered some very difficult family losses in his young life, have a serious injury added to his personal challenges. Whatever you think of him as a QB, I would hope we could all at least show a little empathy. I am a Dak fan, but I would feel bad for any of our players who suffered such a devastating injury.

Let’s stay classy. This world is already a pretty negative place these days that could use some empathy and kindness.

Great post, but it will be ignored anyway from all of them. There are many that are just waiting for things to calm down. Then we will get hit with another wave, as if it is ok to wait.

I admire the sentiment and intent of this post but you are urinating into a hurricane my friend.

Dak gambled and lost.
It's the NFL where the next play might be players last.
The Star dies for no one including Dak....The next man up is Mr. Dalton if he can't do it we keep looking for our next Superbowl QB!
Long live the Glory of the Star!!!

Feel bad for Dak but pointing out that he should have signed the 5 year deal is relevant. He cost himself 100 million dollars with that stupidity.
did it? i mean he may still get that deal from Jerry but nbnot the AAV and gurantes he may have wanted but i dont think Jerry would not sign him after this injury..

is this injury less or as severe as the Theisman Alex smith type? anyone know?

If its not Dak will still get long time offer most likely he loses leverage on the amount and years now plus im sure some safetys should this injury linger..

or do tey tag him again and make sure his ankle is solid?

This place has a troll problem. I won't stoop to the level of calling them out by name but we all know who they are.
They try to form an internet identity around whichever player other fans like. They did this with Romo, Dez, now Dak.
It's a shame really. It brings down the entire site. There are times when I think about coming here to read or talk cowboys and just decide not to because I know every thread will have been hijacked with trolls.
Post a question or comment on the defense.,..... they bring up Dak.... Post a comment on the running game...... they bash Dak.... Post a comment on anything and they will find a way to bash Dak. They think they are cute. The grown ups will just start to avoid the place. Which is a shame because this place has been the most well ran Cowboys message board. The mods are in a tough position trying to keep the conversations flowing while giving everyone a fair voice.

Good perspective Bob. I think some people are all business and I get that. Just hard to see anyone injured like that.

May be true, but no reason to pour salt into the wounds. I’m sure everyone knows the risk vs reward ramifications.

I strongly suggest that you click on their profiles and "ignore" them - if that includes me then fair enough.

I did this for the first time with a poster called Aviano earlier today as he/she was posting complete nonsense, a pathetic and sad little troll with a seemingly limited mental capacity. The site has been a lot more enjoyable ever since

I’ve seen more class from random fans of other teams on reddit, twitter, etc. Virtually everyone is rooting for this guy, even NFC East foes, some even shedding tears and donating to his charity to support his cause and lift his spirits. It’s sad to come to a Cowboys fan page and see so many tasteless comments.

Unfortunately, I’m not surprised. We’ve seen the same exact thing over the years with Romo.

Completely agree.

Good luck, you’re also asking some of the same people who mock Wentz, and other Phillly players, when they get injured because of something that happened 30 years ago and these modern day players had nothing to do with to to have class.

Some of our fans are disgusting. BTW, Wentz was the first tweet I saw wishing Dak the best.

Exactly.......the saddest part if this is most if not all the classless/ugly comments/narratives are from our own fans.
