Watch his feet. It's a dead giveaway. Good footwork usually has good results in the pocket at least.Kitna made progress with Dak. It was obvious the beginning of the season. But for some reason, he has regressed.
At times he can zip the ball right on target then the next throw is far off target.
Franchise him, see what the new staff can do. One year from now we will know if it's time to go in search of a new QB.
But his completion % has always been pretty good in part because he often (not always) won't throw it unless he sees it. Risk averse. Not like when he entered the league but it's still there to some degree.
If you wait until you see it, then it will also end up making the "window tighter" by some analytics, though it should not have been. So that too results in a deceivingly high tight windows accuracy stat.
It also affects WR timing and produces more drops. Cowboys WRs don't just magically all of sudden have drop problems, all at once. That's impossible.
Don't shoot the messenger, but that's how I see it and I think it's correct.
I'm a fan and think he's improved but has a ways to go still.
