im not saying we should be favored to win this game or anything..but your logic is a little silly.

Team sports are about matchups. You beating indianapolis for instance is not a guarantee on beating every team the colts have beat this year.
You lost to the eagles, but that doesnt mean that every time thats beaten the eagles will destroy the cowboys. come on man. thats a simple sports reality right there..

Just in case my logic is being misunderstood let me clarify.

I am simply saying that the Saints have the potential to be something special. But as of right now they havent proven themselves against a good team. If you guys win Sunday it will be like us beating the Colts. It will catapult you guys into the playoffs and show the world you guys are for real.

yeesh. i thought the forums were for debating cowboys football. my mistake. Us service guys across the pond have a lot of extra time on our hands in these nighttime hours. didnt mean to offend anyone..just trying to start an intelligent debate (which, yourself excluded bluestar has been much easier to find here than on the saints forums)

We are having a good discussion and I respect you for sticking up for your team on an opposing teams board.

hmm. i think i understand you now, and in that case we are in agreement. Sorry for getting testy, i misunderstood your point i guess. We have not had our equivalent of the DAllas W over the colts. that much is indisputable.

After this week I will be rooting for you guys. I really like the pieces you guys have in place.

I do have to give you guys credit for that Philly win. I totally forgot about that one. Philly was healthy and you took it to them.

It is true we lost to the Eagles but there was a QB change. If it is pointless why did you bring it up?

Because statements like these appear to be the basis of your argument

personally im rooting for a cowboys vs. saints nfc championship game. that would be a serious ratings explosion for the nfl.

i will be rooting for dallas against all teams but the saints (especially against the falcons) because i really wanna shut up all those afc fans who keep taking swipes at the nfc this year. it would be great if the superbowl went nfc this year!

The Cowboys victory over the Colts looks a little less impressive after the Titans beat them. Not to take anything away. It was a big win.

The Cowboys have just been a roll of wins lately, which I think says something. Like, what would our record be if Romo had started game 1?

The Saints are much better than anyone suspected. I thought when they beat Atlanta in week 3 they were all emotion. BUt, they're legit.

Everybody's second favorite team.

To dismiss them entirely is silly because they do have weight.

After reviewing the saints more or less final injury reports I have come to a conclusion I am not particularly happy with.

This game will be more a referendum on whether the cowboys are for real than the saints. If the saints lose away in dallas, missing their 2 best defensive players, and 2 best receivers I dont think it really has much bearing on how we will fare in the post-season (aside from the seeding.)
The cowboys on the otherhand...if they lose to the saints at home completely healthy with the saints so shorthanded on both sides of the ball wouldnt thay say something about how they might fare against other top teams in the playoffs?

This is not a troll post and ive posted the same thing in the saints forums (and was flamed there for not predicting a saints W)

Good teams find a way to win. Bad teams come up with excuses. Get me drift?

Excuses excuses excuses!!!! This time of the year, all teams are banged up and hurt.. Stop with the excuses and play the game...

Hey Geaux,

I am not taking the Eagles lightly. Neither should any of the Cowboys or Cowboy fans.

I don't know. I think that when we beat the previously undefeated Colts I think that proved that we were for real. But maybe I'm the only one who thinks that way.

Saturday morning paper out of New Orleans has WR Colston and DE Smith both as game day decisions. Horn looks like he's out but Henderson is an adaquate backup. He always seems to show up in big games and is considered a gamer.

Dallas should win this game based on having the better defense although the teams seem pretty evenly matched on offense. Being a Saints fan, I look for the refs to throw the big game to Dallas if it's close. Before you flame me for saying this, look at our sorry past. It includes hundreds of references of refs seeing magical things that only the see and Monday morning appologies from the league for wrong calls. Life sucks in a small market town.

If you've ever watched a Cowboys game, you would know that we lead the league in unexplainable penalties called on us at the worst possible times. We've kind of cornered that market already.

and at the same time they don't

I will agree that saying you will beat the Saints because your team beat the Colts who beat the Steelers who beat the Saints is silly.

But judging a team by common opposition I feel has weight.

I'm in Nashville, so I like the Titans too - especially now that they have Vince at the helm. I have never seen a QB like him in college - and the only games I saw were Ohio State and USC. But that was enough. The guy is a total winner.

Titans have also been a big help to the Cowboys this year - beating everyone in the NFC East except the Cowboys. I never thought that would happen.
