The christ-like qualities attributed to Jason Garrett are getting out of hand.
This offense was 5th in total offense, 4th in scoring offense last year (with a finished Drew Bledsoe and first-year Tony Romo at QB). It's not like Redball took a squad filled with Quincy Carter's and Troy Hambricks and painted them up all respectable-like for a playoff run. This offense has simply taken the next step, and yes - Jason Garrett is a part of that.
But this current squad is 8-1 - and it didn't even come close to that level of play last season. Wade came in, and we may have skipped a couple levels to get where we are now.
If Garrett wants to walk - let him walk. We'd like to have a Cowboy around, but if he earns a head coaching job, let him go. But if we keep this up - we never fire Wade just to get to the young new hotness. That's bad business, and it's just stupid. I think we ought to quit obsessing over Jason "Red Jesus" Garrett and enjoy the fantastic level of play that Wade Phillips has this team at. In any other season we'd be sure super bowl favorites. So why are we talking about moving on from the head coach that has this team playing like super bowl contenders?
Just say no to moving to Jason Garrett simply because we might lose his services.
