The argument isn't whether Romo is better at some things. The argument is that he's the better player overall. Dak's closing in that race week by week in my opinion. Today was another huge step, coming back when down two scores, starting multiple series with penalties putting us in 1st and 15 or 1st and 20. Without Dez. Without Tyron. He was impressive.

Romo is better overall but Dak does some key things that Romo doesn't do like get the pocket moving with roll outs and when everyone is covered he forces the defense to respect his ability to run.

Romo has got more big plays in him but it's crazy how effecient our offense looks with Dak.

Also, we made the Bears and 49ers both pay for selling out on the run with those plays to Beasley.

Outside of the defense I'm a happy Cowboy fan right now.

Truth, Idgit.

We can only pray Dak's ceiling is that of Tony. Only this time the org learns from it's mistakes from Tony's time here, and builds a well-rounded team around Dak, unlike that of Tony's teams.

I love both guys. If Dak's better than Romo, he deserves the job. I just don't think he'll be better than Romo. People had a hard time coming to grips with how good Romo was in the first place, and they've somehow forgotten almost immediately the minute he went out.

One thing that bothers me though is the romanticism of Romo now that he's out. All of a sudden, it seems he never had a bad game where he just flat out threw poorly and/or made awful decisions. Romo is capable of amazing things and I don't think Dak is the same kind of player, but that is a pro as well as a con.

Me, too. We've got two QBs who can both play at a high level. Good problem.

Now, there's no more excuses for not finally addressing the talent level on defense more seriously. Plus, we get Lawrence back tomorrow morning.

Stop spewing garbage..PFF ranked Dak first with no interceptable balls through the first three weeks. Maybe one today but eventually it happens to everyone.

Total utter garbage.

Btw, he could have four more TD throws as well.
Maybe one day people will stop using pff to help their argument. With that said dak has played great. Every qb could have more ints and more tds.

Maybe. I haven't necessarily seen that, but your'e definitely right that Romo was capable of having spectacularly bad games now and then. Dak definitely plays with a style that's a lot calmer and less hectic than Romo's. Where Dak runs a designed roll out, Romo's doing a blind-side back spin and working on his side release so he can get the ball out around the crashing defender. But Romo doesn't leave plays on the field.

My guess is the team's PPG goes up 4-5 points with Romo in the lineup. But you know at the same time, that giveaway number is going to go up, too. I think Tony's going to be pretty lethal in this offense, though, once he's back. We've got all the tools for him to do just what he did in 2014 again.

Maybe one day you can give proof of interceptable balls instead of speculating.

It became amazing crystal clear watching Dak and this team in person today that they need Romo. Dak is doing well, especially for a rookie, with keeping the ball moving and keeping the team in it. However, the offense right now is solid. With Romo it would be lethal.

Dak missed a lot of easy throws that would have been big plays today. Some were really bad throws, some was slow recognition, and others he simply didn't see guys.

If this team wants to do anything, it needs Romo. The running game will really open up (moreso than the last 2 weeks) and they'll not only be able to eat clock, but be explosive as well. This will only help the defense.

Dak looks to possibly be the future, but his time (permanently) is yet to come.

Me? Lol I wasn't the one who said it. I was making a point that pff is useless. I don't need pff. I just watch and give my opinion. I don't need a useless website to make my argument.

That's my take as well. If the Dak Train is rolling, I don't think we should voluntarily take it off the tracks.

I'd ride the hot hand and let Romo continue healing, knowing fully well I might have an ace up my sleeve if needed at any time.
There you go, that is the way to deal with it, let romo be the backup lol and dont forget we also have sanchez !

But really stay with dak if he is winning.
I know they wont though.
Dak winning is going to give jerrys 40 year old brain something to ponder !
