You lost me at Stephen A Smith....that attention seeking turd has been waiting All season long for this and knowing it will rankle the feathers of Cowboys fans....and yet someone still falls for his idiocy every single episode. I
As much as I think the guy is an idiot, He is right in one regard. Something always seems to happen to this team to keep us from going as far as we should. He is right. "We are and accident waiting to happen".

We'll never get where we want to go as long as Jason Garrett is our coach. It's really not difficult to discern that. He gives us zero advantage over our opponents. His only function at this point is clock mismanagement.
I think Garrett has some really good traits as a head coach but most of those traits are seen throughout the week, not on gameday. He rarely has the team play flat against lesser opponents but you are right in saying that he does not give us an advantage on gameday. He is too analytical and is slow to adjust when the other team is out-scheming us. It drives me nuts at times.

True, But that record was achieved between 1965 and 1995. The Browns were big winners in the 50s and 60s too. I'm talking about turning this faltering postseason nightmare we have seen since 1995 in a new direction.
simple get a better hc and asst coaches.

We just get out coached and our team is never ready with a good game plan in the playoffs.
And since it is just one or 2 games a year, JG will be slow learning how to be better.

If you asked JG right now why did they lose, he would probably say AR made a great play.
But it is way more than that, but he doesnt see it.
He may question the spike, since so many others questioned it. but he didnt see anything wrong with it at the time
or after the game.
Same for time mgmt, unless someone points it out , he thinks he did ok.

As for the subs, and penaltys, he may question that but really it is too late now.

Stop.

The odds were heavily stacked against the Cowboys winning a Super Bowl this season. We didn't have the horses to stop Rogers, Ryan and Brady.

Stephen would never have said what he did if we had a good defense. He knew it was safe to say what he did because in football terms we lacking.

Once you start going down the world of black cats and voodoo...there's no hope for you.

Do the Packers have the horses to stop Ryan and Brady? Does Atlanta have the horses to stop Rodgers and Brady? Do the Patriots have the horses to stop Ben and Ryan or Rodgers?

Someone has to win it all.

I hate SAS, which is honestly the reason I've stopped watching ESPN. And this year we weren't an accident waiting to happen. We almost beat GB after getting blown out. And we didn't get some calls which could of ultimately gotten us the W.

Well Sas said jerry would mess things up by putting romo back in, but it turned out our coaches messed it up.

As much as I hate Stephen A. Smith, He is right about two things; "We are an accident waiting to happen" and "What can go wrong will go wrong". The Cleveland Browns have cornered the market on heartbreaking regular season losses but we seem to be their equivalent in the playoffs. What other team has suffered so many heartbreaking losses in the post-season? We have now lost 8 of our last 10 playoffs games and most were in heart-wrenching fashion. We have the Tony Romo bobbled snap, The Crayton drop, The Dez non-catch and now the 3rd and 20. If you go back further we have "The Catch", the 0-21 five minute start against the Niners in 1994, The Jackie Smith drop in Super Bowl XIII and I could go on and on.

What makes it so frustrating is that in so many of the games we were the superior team only to find a new way to lose. What is going on here and how can we get back to the point where things start to go our way? There is no way we can go into our next playoff game without thinking we are snake-bit. Now Dak is 0-1 in the playoffs and with one more loss, he will be labeled as a choker too. I am so ready for the post-season black cat to leave the room.

I would say, chaps, chicken little, but it seems more like diva queen dramas.
Carry on, ruffians!

What was Romo's? I know it was very bad. 2-4 in the playoffs for starters. Lost the Philly game in 2008 that was do or die. for the playoffs. Lost 2 more in 2011 and 2012 that was do or die for the playoffs.
So 2-7?

We were damn lucky to be anywhere close to competing in the playoffs most of those years and would have been bounced like a fresh tennis ball had we won any of them. We don't need a miracle worker to compete with this team. Just a little defense please.

Our 2 best years, and GBay knocks us out both times, sure it is close, but this time no murray to blame .
The refs getting some more blame, and it was bad in that area again.
But at some point you have to look at the coaching, both pre-game and in game>>??

It's mistakes. Every post season game and those 8-8 years this was a 10-12 win team without the 20 million mistakes.

Except the vikings one. They just flat out worked dallas.

How the hell can we be the post season version of the Browns when they're never involved in the post season? That's absurd. Taking the league's worst team and comparing it to one of the up-and-coming teams in the upcoming decade is a travesty of gigantic proportions.

Stephen A. Smith makes it his life's purpose to create all the negativity he possibly can with anything to do regarding the Dallas Cowboys. He's hopelessly immersed in hating this team and everything it stands for. He's got to be the #1 Cowboys' hater of all time. Ignore him.

Has the doom and gloom crowd gone away yet...do we have to put up with this all off season....

Dak brought this team back from 18 points down, and went toe to toe with the great AR....the defense did not do their job, and you want to say Dak will be called a choker....

Going to be a long off season on here with the haters coming back out.
The loss could be good in the long run. I always felt we would trip up somewhere just due to not being a complete team. A loss lets the FO know they arent quite done building this team. We are all set up for a long run, but not being able to stop an elite QB when it counts was always going to doom this team in 2016 IMO. I honestly don't think it will in 2017

Romo has the highest 4th quarter qb rating in history. His qb rating in December is higher than it is in any other month. At the conclusion of the 2014 season he had more 4th quarter comeback wins than any other active qb.

Despite all that Romo was labeled a choker by outside media and even OUR fans.

So yeah it could happen to Dak.
One of the things that killed Romo ( as unfair and ridiculous as it was) was the early memory of the botched snap. It doenst matter that it was really just an unfortunate play, it was in the back of the media's mind and used in its rhetoric.

Dak wasnt as unfortunate. Its not to say that he wont be prematurely label a choker, I dont think it will be as swift as it was with Romo

they couldn't stop this elite qb on one leg in 2014 and in 2016 they couldn't stop him with just a few seconds to go in the game on two legs the team with the beter qb and coach moved on and that's what happenes in the playoffs

We are the post season version of the Dallas Cowboys. It's who we are. No matter how good our team is, we always mess it up.

Seems that way. That's why I want to see the team acquire a couple of proven veteran (playoff) winners who can try to reverse the stink of failures past that haunts this organization.
