To be honest I would have rather had Steinbach or Dielman then Davis. BUT it did not happen. I think Davis can be very good for us- being away from the black pit of arizona has worked before. Columbo will get better- when you work as hard as he did to come back from a real bad injury (and a misdiagnosis, and being abandoned by the team that drafted) you do not get fat and happy. And with Davis- he had a big rookie contract that he got every last cent out of- so this big contract is not really that huge for him.
Gurode finally has his head on straight- and hard work was never a problem for him. The Hotel is fully recovered- he should be fine. Kosier will get better with more familiarity with the players around. The line SHOULD get better.
Romo needs more discipline- but that last play in the Seattle game should be plenty of impetus to improve. Wade will be working with schemes on our D- and they should be better. Watkins is of course a question- but realistically that is really one of the few places that have question marks. QB, RB, TE, O line, WR- TO and Terry Glenn should still shine for at least one more year.
D Line- we need more from them, but the TALENT is there. There really is not a real HOLE on the team- the closest thing to it is FS.

I agree the talent is there and I think Carpenter, Hatcher and Watkins are going to improve dramatically this year. I have my doubts about Fasano breaking out though...we'll see.

Anyone that says Jerry is not a "football" guy is full of BS. The guy played college ball for a big time program. Someone please explain to me why other GM's are considered "football" guys and what their qualifications are.

Well maybe you should look closer to his post history, he does say alot of hateful things to others, to me that's sewer level, and that's why he apparently has such a "friendly" relationship with the mods.

But the original point is, that if he can say all the things he says to others and still be allowed in the forum, then I'll be fine here, since I don't say near the things he does to even him (in retailiation) or others, I don't call people idiots or talk about their lobotomys, or talk about thier IQ levels on here because they disagree with me, it's just silly to do that over football. But like I said before I do use a tone, and am often a smart alec, but I don't call names or refer to a issue that an individual that I know nothing about might or might not have.
