Lynch doesn't impact us at all IMO...we aren't taking him @ #4, and no one else will take him before #7....the only way he impact us is if he slides into the 20's and then dallas gets antsy and trades up
from our 2nd rounder to get him....depending on the trade, and who our first pick is, I could live with that

For the love of Christ, we are not taking Lynch at 4.

You don't need to crystal ball to know this: Lynch is NOT going in the top 5.

We don't know that. Others like 49ers might trade up to make sure they get their guy. Lynch at one point was considered number 1 QB in the draft. We have no idea if he goes in the 2nd round or top 5.

If you're gonna take Zeke at 7, you might as well take him at 4 and get your guy. Don't be greedy and hope.

But Jerry's a risk-taka. This 20 run we're on is a testament to that.

This right here tells me he's not going to. When was the last time a player that was all over draft boards, ended up going this early? MAYBE he goes 7, but why would San Fran move into the top 5 to get him? Who is going to snag him before their pick?

They can stay where they are at and draft Lynch. Unless you think Cowboys are going to try and make them think they love Lynch in the next 8 days, but I doubt this.

Well that's your opinion and I have one its not fact until the draft is over. Nothing is a given after the first pick or so and even then it's not a 100 percent

No, but you were thinking it...

j/k!

haha, love the little note....and no, I have said from day1 that none of these QBs was worthy of the #4 overall pick...I HAVE said that I could see grabbing one in the 3rd or moving up from the 3rd into the 2nd to get one...moving up from our 2nd into the mid-20's, if not cost-prohibitive would be fine for me if Lynch fell into that range, but I don't see that happening....Lynch's agent is likely kinda happy at the trades because NOW Lynch is it after 1 and 2...interest in his just went up since there is a perceived drop-off after him @ QB

If we could get out of 4 and grab Zeke - then package the extra picks and move back into the first to grab Lynch - I'd be pretty drunk on draft night.

Haha, then keep it going the next day with some nice additions on defense, and maybe one of the WRs.

That'll be quite a draft class.

Some other team has to be threatening to either take him before 7 or trade up above them. Both of which are extremely doubtful. They have no reason to move up for Lynch.

I'm hearing rumors that Lynch was the quarterback that the Browns preferred. If that's the case, Dallas or San Diego might be able to drop down a few spots to a team trying to ensure that they get him.

Given the two huge moves made for quarterbacks already, it wouldn't shock me at this point.

I believe that NFL front offices are becoming more and more aware of the dearth of quality prospects coming out of the college ranks, and the lack of available starters in the pros. The salaries being paid, even to average quarterbacks, is staggering, and the moves these teams are making to ensure they get one only reinforces it.

Realistically, we can't trade too far back if Lynch or Zeke are the targets. I don't think either one makes it past 10 at this point.

Ultimately, If we're not in love with any of the players, why not trade back with Tennessee, let them grab their guy and let us rack up as many picks as possible. With the Titans pick, grab Shaq Lawson and then we can load up on depth in the second round - guys like: Derrick Henry, Nkemdiche, Corey Coleman, Dak Prescott, etc.

Brugler is in touch with the Browns plans and he said he would be surprised if he was the pick. He also said he thinks the Browns might try to trade down again. From everything I've heard, they want to accumulate as many picks as possible. The best bet would be a team like Chicago or maybe NO coming up if Lynch is the target. NYJ and Buffalo are two other possibilities, but neither are going to want to pay the price that move would take for the 3rd QB in the class.
