Rather have Chris long probably has a higher ceiling if healthy. But at this point I guess one of the two is the best we are going to do this free agency period. Bosa looking better each hour.

No thank you on Long. He's actually the worst "Long" in the family IMO. Although he was all world at VA!

Jax wants Ayers after whiffing on Vernon. I bet they throw more than he's worth at him.

Right now I'm hoping for....
Ced Thronton/Nick Fairley at DT
2 of Mike Neal, Nick Perry, Robert Ayers, Adrian Clayborn, Jason Jones at DE
1 of Casey Heyward, Jeremy Lane, Prince Amakumara, Jerraud Powers, Patrick Robinson at CB

As they shouldn't. These are guys whose original teams did not want them for whatever reason.

It's not that simple.

Smith is a pretty decent CB who is caught in a log jam and contract situation in KC. With Peters there, they don't need to have Smith. Plus they don't want a lot a ton of money to the secondary now that they have to pay Berry. Smith is more a salary issue than KC just chucking a crap player aside.

We know that ended up the last time they didn't want to pay a certain corner we picked up in 2012....

These guys are all average at best.

Most of the DT are screwed this year. The draft is so deep at the position that no one is willing to pay premium for them. It would be wise for Dallas to pick one up relatively cheap who can replace Hayden in addition to draft another.

Average is Carr. Hayward is better than Carr.

I don't know anything about Hayward but I bet he's got warts too. If Carr can play for cheap I would keep him since he's reliable. I'll draft his future replacement.

We can all agree these are the critical positions to address in free agency. These are the remaining viable candidates that I see(in no particular order). Basically...how do you feel about it? Personally, I'm pretty optimistic. No doubt we need to get busy fairly soon, but I see the opportunity to add several good players still in their primes.

DE
Adrian Clayborn
Gilberry Wallace
Chris Long
Derrick Shelby
Quinton Coples
Robert Ayers
Courtney Upshaw
Nick Perry
Mike Neal
Jason Jones
Eugene Sims
Andre Branch

DT
Nick Fairley
Alex Carrington
Jaye Howard
Henry Melton
Kendall Reyes
Ced Thornton
Akiem Hicks

CB
Brandon Boykin
Patrick Robinson
Prince Amukamara
Sean Smith
Casey Heyward
Jeremy Lane
Jerraud Powers
Nolan Carrol
Josh Robinson

Clayborn back to Atlanta.

Ayers is okay but l I ve the other guys on your list, especially:

Quinton Coples DE
Eric Weddle S

If theres enough left for a back up QB or CB, even better. Want RG3 but will take Moore. FB Will Tukuafu and TE Lardarius Green would be nice too.

Ayers and Fairley would really help this off-season look better, as for CB I see a couple of guys who I think could be immediate upgrades to Carr (Hall, Hayward, Smith, and Boykin all look pretty good), and getting Scandy back will help a lot too.
