Not "officially". Could change as in the last few minutes there has been a few Tweets that say there are other teams in the mix. I would assume Tampa is upping their money offer.

Let's see, Tampa or Indy? Hmmmmm.......

I hope it's Indy because that might take them out of any Hardy bid.

Life's about choices. I'm surprised he doesn't stay in Tenn and play for Dick LeBeau.

I think he prefers to play defensive end rather than outside linebacker.

But Tennessee is currently a mess too. If those are the two choices, take the no income taxes and nicer weather!

Hadn't thought of that. Tampa is a horrible city IMO.

So, 6 sacks then? As opposed to 15 sacks from a guy like Hardy. OK, as long as they understand what they are and aren't getting...
And you would be extremely lucky to get that from him. 50/50 chance he goes on season ending IR before taking a snap.

People talking up this " bargin bin" approach like we are actually good at it. Look at the list of FA's we have signed in the Garrett era. Its pathetic. We sign cheap FA's but we dont even get production equal to the small amounts we pay. More often then not those guys dont even play up to there contracts even at the vet minimum. The only players we have gotten any kind of positive production out of is Bernie, Orton, Durant and Mincey. And I definitely wouldn't call any of those guys "hits". More often then the guys we get to plug holed before the draft actually make the holes worse themselves

Ever been there? I have a few times, I like the area.

Lots of times. Had a few job offers to go there. Just not my type of town. My kids love Orlando, but I think the Mouse has something to do with that.:)

I agree. Jacksonville is spraying around some crazy money right now, and if Parnell and Davon House can get $6 million a year, Murray should get at least $8 million from them.

And I have said several times that you get what you pay for, and if they're dumpster diving, adjust expectations accordingly. And plan on being disappointed when we reach for the next Ebenezer Ekuban, Kavika Pittman, or Shante Carver because "we just had to have" a defensive end there because we didn't get one in free agency.

You may well be exactly correct. They are probably looking at it from the standpoint that this team is offense oriented and if
the offense can function well, the team has a good chance to win. They were 12x4 last year and a good chance to get
to the title game. The defense wasn't great, but they held their own and if the offense kept defense off the field
performed well. You also have to look at things from a Jerry marketing perspective. Offense sells tickets, not
defense...at least in Dallas. I think they feel if they can fill in holes and keep the offense mostly intact, they
will have another opportunity to apply to the dance next year.

It worked well overall, but I think some of it was smoke and mirrors and that might not work again this year. I think you would agree that the defense still needs a lot of help.

I think 'sacks sells'. I think Demarcus Ware and his pass rush was pretty marketable when he was here. I still have 3 jerseys with his name on them to back up that stance!

We don't necessarily need a pro bowl caliber guy, it would be nice, but overall depth and talent is also extremely important for us. We got significant playing time from George Selvie, Nick Hayden, and the combo of Jack Crawford/Lavar Edwards last year. Plus Spencer is currently no longer under contract. So yeah, we absolutely need to sign people whether they are elite level players or not.
