The last 1 1/2 years is how everyone is comparing him. It's a what have you done for me lately league and other receivers have moved ahead of him since the 2014 season due to his injuries and lack of production. Julio had a broken foot in 2013 and missed 11 games but he bounced back from that the following season with 104 catches for 1593 yards. Julio followed that up with 136 catches for over 1800 yards last season. Dez hasn't bounced back from his down season in 2015, he only has 15 catches this season for under 300 yards because he's been battling another injury.

Has Julio ever gone 88 1200 12tds....Dez did that 3 years in a row or .............consistently

Julio has put up more catches and yards than Dez ever has the past 2 seasons and is on pace for his 3rd straight season surpassing Dez's career high in catches and yards. Julio is the best receiver since Randy Moss in my opinion and is a much better overall receiver than Dez. Dez has been known for the jump ball and TD's but his TD's have taken a free fall since his franchise record 16 TD's in 2014. No receiver in the league put up more TD's than Dez from 2012 to 2014 but since then he only has 5 TD's.

So you are saying Julio has never done it.......but Dez did 3 straight years

That's all you have because it can't be refuted. What any player did a season and half ago doesn't matter, it's how they've been playing lately. There's been a number of receivers that have been more productive than Dez the past season and a half. You have power rankings for teams and those are based on a week to week basis but players are judged on a year to year basis. Every player is allowed a down year, it can happen due to injuries but back to back down years signal a decline. Dez can still have a productive season if he stays healthy and he and Dak can build some chemistry. He just has to stay focused and not allow himself to get frustrated.

Julio is clearly better than Dez, and I'm ok with that. He's a monster. Antonio brown and Odell too IMO.

After those three, Dez is right there with the best of the best. Again IMO. Obviously it's been a disappointing year and a half, but I'm ecstatic to have him back. Imagine last night without him, after seeing what Schwartz game plan was. Yikes. Fortunately we don't have to

His production slipped only because of injury. Trying to pin some stuff on him not being able to get open is simply you being agenda driven.

Oh and he was open a ton last night...but Dak couldn't hit him.

It's been injury and not being able to get open that's caused his production to go down. Dak was asked about Dez a few weeks ago and he said he's going to throw to the open receiver and it was pretty obvious by his comment that Dez wasn't getting open. Everyone knows that Dez has had issues gaining separation ever since he entered the league, which is why he's involved in so many contested jump balls.

Jerry even confirmed Dez doesn't get open a lot because after the opener he said he wanted Dez thrown the ball even when he's not open. Dez was suppose to be healthy in the opener and didn't produce. He had a career low in production that day and dropped a TD pass. Dak had pressure in his face most of the night but there were some forced throws to Dez where he wasn't open. Dak tried to force one to Butler and it got picked.

You left off the worst one. Dandy Donut has imagined himself a whole scenario where Dez is a lazy cancer who will never produce again and is harming the team purposefully. All out of thin air. He admits that he made it up with no basis but still thinks it's true.

I don't think you understand what body of work means. The phrase your looking for is cherry picked sample size

Reputation is only going to take a player so far and going back 2 seasons to find Dez's last productive/elite season isn't going to put him back amongst the elite receivers. I'm picking what Dez has done the past season and half which is what he's going to be judged on. You can't live in the past with players, you have to look at where their game is NOW. Peterson is a great back but right now he's not the best in game because the last time we saw him he only had 31 carries for 50 yards, averaging 1.6 a carry and has been injured. He's going to have to prove he can get back to the level he was.

Go to the rant forum if you want to call people out. If you're calling out anyone who claimed Dez is washed up or finished, you better remove my name.

Dezerters

Right, and if Dez has a couple of catches for 32 yards with a drop against Cleveland next Sunday, you and the others who are living in the moment over a solid game he had won't be around. lol I knew if Dez had a good game Sunday Night, you and a few others would try and put a spin on those of us who've been critical of his play.

I said nothing negative about his play last night and am only having this discussion because someone decided to bump up this thread and target me as some Dez hater. lol Dez looked good last night, let's see how he plays next week.

You're the one showing you're looking for a fight and learn how to type. Practically everyone on this board supports him and are all pulling for him to get back to the level of play we saw in 2014. You just have an agenda to make it seem all the criticism due to his injuries and lack of production is based on hate which is ridiculous. Just because some of us have been disappointed in his play and injuries the past couple of seasons doesn't mean anyone has deserted him. You'll drop this agenda real quick if he has poor game next Sunday. lol
