There is no way in hell BB says the things he said yesterday if he is not 100% confidant that nothing was done to those balls after the check.
I agree 100%. It's becoming pretty obviously the NFL has absolutely nothing by way of any actual evidence. Either that or he's the best bluffer in the history of the world.

If this was any other team, it would have been resolved by Monday afternoon and no one would be talking about it.

You literally have zero idea what the NFL has, so why not just wait and see.
How come you are asking me that question, but not anyone else who has already condemned Belichick and Brady to a 1 year suspension and loss of a 1st round draft pick?

Oh wait nevermind I know the answer: You're a hater and a hypocrite.

If this was any other team it would be over by Monday aftenoon, like it was with the Vikings. I'll ask you the same question that not a single hater has had the guts to answer: If a first offense is a letter of reprimand, what should a second offense be?

(keep in mind my question assumes 2 things: (1) that the Patriots are guilty even though that hasn't been established yet and (2) that this is a 2nd offense which it really isn't)

The NFL is just holding themselves until after the Superbowl so they don't have to suspend Brady and Belicheat prior to the Super Bowl.

The NFL is quickly making their way to the dispicable level of the NBA. I refuse to be a fan of the NBA anymore. (I used to be a huge one) I love football, but I don't watch fake TV that pretends to be real. If the NFL doesn't do something, the NFL isn't any better than other reality TV series. Pretend to be real, but completely scripted.

The score is completely besides the point.

No it's not. Are we going to be concerned about rules just for the sake of following rules or are going to be concerned about them because they effect competition? This score indicates the rule clearly did not effect the competition. Following rules just for the sake of following rules is BS.

so you cheat on your taxes as well?

What if it had been a close game as it was till halftime?

Bottom line is that you are a pats apologist and like Rogah will NEVER admit they did anything wrong.
Like the romo haters you are blind to the real world. A previous PROVEN CHEATER gets no slack except from the likes of you.

And Patriots haters like you will NEVER admit that gee, maybe they didn't tamper with the balls after the fact and there's no evidence to suggest that they did.

Pretty hilarious how anyone who diagrees with you is an apologist who would never listen to reason. But anyone who agrees with you is an open minded individual.

I don't pay taxes, Uncle Sam pays me.

It wasn't a close game so you can't say what if...

You don't know me, bro... if you did, you'd know I hate the Pats almost as much as I hate the Steelers and Eagles and Commanders. And I'm not blind to the real world either. I just don't think this deflated ball BS is a big deal. No one got hurt and it didn't effect the game. No ones ever going to prove how it happen so move on. Getting mad at me about it isn't going to change anything.

What a ******** way to think about cheating.

The Patriots went into the game heavy favorites and started the game with a competitive advantage. And would have played the entire game that way had they not been caught.

Like i'm shocked this even has to be explained. Are you a child?

Said like a true troll. If it was such a competitive advantage then why didn't the Pats breakout way ahead of the Colts until the balls were correctly inflated in the second half?

Because the Pats are better? And are known as being amongst the best 2nd half teams in football due to the adjustments they make at halftime?

Again. Besides the point.

So they cheated in the first half and still couldn't blow out the Colts by halftime? The only adjustment made at halftime was to the ball to inflate it back like it suppose to be.

Just out of curiosity, I checked the fumbles for two good QBs at nfl.com, Tom Brady and Tony Romo. In the last two years. Tom Brady fumbled 15 times and lost 6 of them. Tony Romo fumbled 11 times and lost 4. So the guys who touch the ball every play don't seem to have much of a difference at all. I hope no one concludes from this that Tony is using a more deflated ball than Tom. :)

So what is with new reports that 10 of tnr balls were actually 11.5? So that means a million mouth breathing, foam spitting meat heads who can't wait for all evidence might have some of their ammo gone. Heck they might have done something but there is a reason why some of us have smartly held off judgement

I read a stat that the Patriots has the lowest fumble rating in the NFL. Compared to the Cowboys which I believe is probably one of the highest fumble ratings in the league. Thus its safe to assume that this wasn't a one time occurrence and that it helped them with their fumbling issue or the lack of it there of.

Why is this a safe assumption?

What do the Cowboys' fumbles have to do with anything in terms of making this a safe assumption?

I come from a golf background. For those that don't know, in golf if the ball moves while you are taking a swing it is a penalty.

One time the ball moved in the middle of Bobby Jones' golf swing. He called a penalty stroke on himself. And he was *not* even sure that the ball actually moved. He just thought it did and he called a penalty stroke on himself. And that cost him the tournament.

Afterwards, a report basically congratulated him for being so honest because only Jones saw the ball move (or so he thought). Nobody else would have know, but Jones called the penalty on himself anyway.

Jones reply was to the effect 'well, you might as well congratulate me for not robbing banks, too.'

So for me and the background I come from, I have a disdain for cheating. As my dad used to say 'when you cheat, you just cheat yourself.'

I get the thrill out of beating opponents when they are at their best and it is mono a mono and the better man wins.

But, that's just me.

I can understand people with a different background than mine that believe that all that matters is winning. I don't agree with it, but I can understand where the differences are from.

I will say, that in the end people will always look far more fondly at Bobby Jones than they ever will at Bill Belichick. But, I don't think Belichick's personal reputation or respect for the sport really means much to him.

First off you are the one attacking everyone for their opinion on this so back off. Where in my reply, or the post I was referring to in it, did I state the patriots were guilty? Oh that's right I did not. All I did was show you facts:

Fact 1: You attacked a chart someone posted and said you independently verified that the Patriots had 108 fumbles in 5 years according to Pro football reference. I showed year by year that it was only 81. So yes I question your bias when you inflate numbers to prove a point.

Fact 2: You said the chart was wrong because it said the patriots only had 33 fumbles and you magically came up with 108. I provided a link and told you the 33 was fumbles lost not fumbles. I stated the chart difficult to read because it was labelled wrong. I was actually giving you the benefit of the doubt on that because the chart you got your 33 fumbles from clear stated right above the number 33 that it was "fumbles lost" to the point that anyone seeing it could clearly identify what it was referring to. FYI al the rest of the chart was accurate (the Patriots do loose fumbles at an lower rate than the rest of the NFL).

Fact 3: You state that scientific research proves that the Patriots balls could have deflated 2psi because of the weather, and that the Colts balls could have been inflated more so everyone "Whining" was being "ridiculous". I reminded you of the fact that there is only a 1psi range for the ball to be within what the NFL was looking for (12.5psi to 13.5psi). So therefore, logically, either the Colts balls were over inflated at the check before the game (they ere not), or they were underinflated at the halftime check (they were not). Its simple math really, 1psi difference versus the 2psi drop your scientific results came up with. I just used the 2psi number because you did, at this point no one really knows.

However, rather then look at the logic of it you attack and call me a hater. When all I did was prove your "facts" wrong without stating any conclusion on culpability. Honestly, you have gone so far over the edge for the Patriots at this point, it is rather funny. Rather than state your facts could be wrong and discussing, you deflect by attacking and bringing up other teams ("But they did it too mommy" blah blah blah). If you are not already a politician, may I suggest you look at that for a career because that is a tactic they use to the same degree.

I want to know what the values really were. If it was 1 psi, that's kind of interesting.

Some sites have broken out the ideal gas laws and come up with varying drops in PSI. Regardless of what the number is, I think it's kind of interesting. On a cold day it's mathematically possible that any ball inflated to 12.5 psi is actually out of range at kick off.

You mean the same reports that came from the same people that told us that Marinelli was headed to Tampa Bay?

I understand of holding off judgment, but people jumping to conclusions comes with the territory when you have blatantly cheated before.

And it doesn't help matters that:

1. Brady claimed he doesn't even touch the footballs which is something that every QB, even those that like Brady, do not believe. I think that is what brought Brunell almost to tears...he admires Brady and then Brady said he doesn't even touch the footballs which is something that the QB's will tell you just isn't true.

2. That Belichick claimed he didn't touch the footballs and had no knowledge of them and put the blame on Brady's doorstep. Then Belichick does another impromptu press conference and says that he has handled footballs in the name of research. That's a classic case of somebody lying and trying to cover their tracks.

I do believe in that you're innocent until proven guilty, even if it is not a court of law. Obviously, this is not a court of law type of case. So, our judgment can only go as this story develops over time. And so far, I believe that the Patriots are lying because:

a) They've cheated before
b) They've lied about cheating before (on multiple occasions)
c) They are being accused of deflating footballs when the Colts' balls were not deflated
d) No NFL QB or former NFL QB believes Brady
e) Belichick's comments are typical of somebody lying and trying to cover their own tracks (let's face it, based on SpyGate, the guy is bad at lying).

And we have a Super Bowl that is about to get underway, so it's a bit of a time sensitive subject that leads to time sensitive conclusions.
