Let's say the Giants draft a good QB like Shedeur

Quarterback is very important. I indicated Jayden Daniels looks like a very good quarterback. He does. I said Jalen Hurts plays his best in games that matter most. He does. And Russell Wilson has a winning record in playoff games. He does.

Your ridiculous excessive response doesn’t change the facts. The NFCE will be more competitive this season than last season.
No what I said made sense it's my last reply to you but here's Russell Wilson last time he was with the Seattle Seahawks before they cut him he was absolutely horrible in the playoffs. It got him cut this game 40% compl % that BAD bad..ugly bad Mr Playoff huh?

that his 4 years RS record 6-8, 4-11, 7-8 , 6-5 he split time with JF in PB, 23-29 rs record RECENT record...

but they then lost last year IN THE PLAYOFFS, 1 and done, CUT again, so over 4 years he's been cut by three teams but sure overrate him over a playoff record that stopped being good 5 years ago. LOL you know my faintest memory would be him losing to Prescott and I don't know before that did he throw a game losing interception at the goal line because they depended on him and yet probably should have handed the ball off to the running back but that doesn't change it back that he threw an interception on the goal line TOO LOSE THE SB!!

I mean how much of a choke artist is that? he could have run it in himself, he could have changed the play, and went against the play call and handed the ball off the beast mode.

you're counting on old /GOOD Russell Wilson to show up and that's why I'm saying it's ridiculous, by the way they brought Russell Wilson and Winston in any remember if they draft a guy when you have three you probably have none.. Oh wait that's only Cowboys fans when they're rating our own team....

and even then Prescott beat Russell Wilson in 2018 in the playoffs hmmm and I'm telling you lastly Prescott and the Cowboys will also be better in the NFC East you're not counting on 18 injured players whereas absolutely we were playing with some third and fourth string guys almost at 70% of the positions at one point or another we didn't have enough players we had to practice squad players in key positions...

You know Prescott who doesn't have a losing season when he starts and finishes seasons healthy ,that guy when we have actually a somewhat healthy team and solid team around him, you're counting us out, therefore I'm countering you with it won't be the same for the Cowboys either, and that means all these other teams in the NFC East are going to have to a healthy cowboys team, which will be better.. LG!

Maybe the division will be tougher but that's the point the Cowboys will also be better and lots of scenarios can happen to where this guy doesn't have to worry about it because problems do arise things happen and I was just pointing out that you can point out who you think is gonna be dominant again Jayden Daniels lost to our practice squad Jayden Daniels got pulled because he couldn't get it done against our backups second game Marcus Mariota finished and won that game and he also got his **** kicked in the NFC championship game so who knows what Jayden Daniels is gonna show up I'm not saying he's not good don't act like all of a sudden he's gonna have a chokehold on the division before we even see what he looks like in year 2...

Now what you're trying to tell me is everybody in the division is gonna get better except for the Cowboys are gonna be worse even though the Cowboys won seven games last year mostly with a bunch of backups actually nearly swept Washington with backups and you don't think they'll improve because you think Prescott sucks and now he's in the bottom of the NFC East all of a sudden he's gonna fall off a Cliff you're basically saying that that's probably gonna happen because all of a sudden the cowboy fans get to prop up the entire NFC East full of rivals say they're gonna be better and then **** on your own team they're gonna be bad...

Right that's not hating on your own team you're hoping they finish in the cellar because you're dreaming that the whole entire NFC East is gonna improve last year forgetting that we won seven games with a practice squad last year bad coaching and a whole lot of bad stuff well now we changed our coaching staff we haven't even got to the draft yet and you don't think the Cowboys are gonna be better we won three straight years 12 games when we had a healthy team one could wonder if the Cowboys had a down year last year as a reason why the NFC East was rather easy for the eagles and Washington got lucky I'm not saying that happened I'm just saying you're basically propping everyone up in the NFC East except for the Cowboys and you spell doom and gloom for them even though you're in a Cowboys form and you're supposed to be a Cowboys fan everybody thinks Prescott's falling off a Cliff and that's it but you'll prop up Russell Wilson who fell off that Cliff four years ago..... :muttley:  :oldcouple:  We will settle it on the field this debate will be settled in the regular season we'll talking about a year back to ignore lol

The Eagles and Commanders have good and young QBs already. Dak was expensive but if he can play well for 3 or 4 more years, the other teams are going to have to give massive contracts to their QB.

If Dak only makes it 1 or 2 years Dallas will be stuck with the Cap but with those likely losing seasons, I could see them landing a top 5 pick and drafting their own rookie all star QB, so that kind of levels things out. So I think Dallas should build the team as though a rookie QB is coming in 2-3 years. Thoughts?
Hopefully the Giants trade up for Cam Ward and than Dallas is at the bottom. Dak barely beat the Giants last season. The teams are heading opposite directions.

The Cowboys SHOULD be operating in a four year window now with Dak and CeeDee in their primes with their big deals. This is when they should be making aggressive moves to bolster the roster around them and push for a Super Bowl. Then they can blow it all up in 2028 or 2029 and get a top 5 pick and the next QB.

Instead they continue to shop on the free agency clearance rack hoping to strike gold.

Yeah, fully agree. They never seem to operate along what makes full sense at a given time.

They truly have no clue, or any actual longer term plan. It’s all about being relevant and hoping to get lucky in the playoffs.

I think they are going to fall well short of the former for at least a few seasons to come. Let’s see how things are then with Jerry celebrity wishes.

So, you’re saying the Cowboys might achieve their goal of not coming in 4th place this season?

The Dallas fraudulence is based largely on Washington and NY being awful for a long while (although NY managed to sneak in TWO titles while eliminating our best team of the Jerry ego era).

People named Garrett and Prescott made a ton of money off beating up on those two.

McCarthys three 12 win teams were 11-1 over them. Dallas didn’t try in the one loss.

Those two weren’t just going to be awful forever and hand you 3-4 wins a year.

Philly is a juggernaut. Washington is good and getting better, NY is trying and now has two vet QBs.

Dallas is screwed for a while, it’s fully earned and deserved, and evidence shows that it’s going to get ugly publicly with Dak and with Jerry. Each wants credit for what they DID do and feels they should be immune from criticism on the failure somehow.

Unfortunately I have that to look forward to more than actual football this season.

He's going in the top 20 , I hate to break it to you which is funny because if he even makes it to 12, that would be surprising, you might want to prepare yourself for the Dallas Cowboys going ahead and taking Deion Sanders son here, because at 12 he might be worth the reach and a future quarterback that doesn't have to be rushed onto the field.. not saying he's going to be any good, but you are saying it's a joke, jokes on you!

This could be the best place for him or on a team lower in the draft, so he doesn't have to be forced on the field and feel pressured...

it's happening, why don't you go take a look at the history of the NFL and where quarterbacks are all pretty much taken too high... Given what most think is a real weak class, even next year might be a little weak as well, most of these QBS are going higher than you think, way higher..

I think he's a better prospect than say Trey Lance and look what they did with Trey Lance three first round picks for Trey Lance of all people there's examples of that all over the NFL at worst I don't think Sanders is gonna be worse than Ryan Tannehill Ryan Tannehill was a pretty solid starter he could be in that realm of players that are kind of mid but good starters not elite or living up to the hype but still good...
Hes not coming to Dallas even if he makes it to 12.

Look, this guy is not gonna be a great NFL quarterback. I’m sick of hearing his name. On the back of the great Deion Sanders. But ask herself this. Would Deion have made a good quarterback? Hell no. I know this kids been groomed and coached to nothing but quarterback, and he is decent, but he’s not gonna be, anything great in the NFL. Mark it down.

If the Cowboys use a top 5 pick it will be the first time since Troy Aikman. Jerry thinks he is smarter than everyone else by getting late round or undrafted QBs.

Your missing the signs, lol, they just got milton, and that is their sole investment in a qb.
They are not drafting another one this year or next . Who knows about in 3 yrs.
I'm thinking Bryce Young may be available in the next couple years and you the the affinity Jery has for those 1st round busts

So this qb class seems pretty weak. I dont know much about Ward, who does he compare to from past draft classes?
When a college QB complains "I didn't have a running game" when questioned about his tendency to only throw short screen passes, I'm passing on him. No excuses.

They are just not looking in the first round.
Or the 2nd or the 3rd for that matter.

Mariotta was a 1st rounder so I wouldn't give up on him getting a shot here before he hits the glue factory

Yeah,
And you can bet his agent is going to have him looking for a massive restructure starting next offseason!
The future cap hits on his current deal will have the Eagles looking “for a massive restructure starting next offseason”.
