Let's say the Giants draft a good QB like Shedeur

I don’t think Dak can make it to another contract, this will be his last. I would set my sights on Arch in three years if he does develop into that franchise QB. At worst, he would sit for one season assuming Dak plays four more. Manning isn’t coming out early and should be playing all of his eligible years. That coincides nicely with the end of the Prescott era.
I doubt we'd be bad enough to be in a position to draft Manning. Jethro would most likely have to pull off a deal for the #1 pick--and if the team with the #1 for some reason doesn't need a QB, and the NFL thinks Arch is the next Peyton, that price will be high.

Yea, it will be expensive but might be worth it.

I think the Giants will take Carter . Thibodeaux has not been nearly what they expected . Wilson & Winston in 25 . Having Schoen the GM and the Bryan Cranston impersonator coach playing for there jobs next season is dangerous for the future , they have to show wins , improvement now not have Sanders carrying a clip board and yawning .
Cleveland picks before them. Matters who they are left with.

What would change about roster building today if they were planning g to take a QB 3 years from now?
Exactly, team building shouldn't deviate much whether you've found your QB or not. Maybe your QB favors speedy guys or deep route runners or whatever but the meat and potatoes of your team shouldn't deviate. A strong balanced defense and a solid OL should be a priority no matter what.

Hes not coming to Dallas even if he makes it to 12.
and I say there's a big chance he is, like 70/30... i don't see how you can argue he'd be worth it. . fans complaining for years we haven't got a first round quarterback since Aikman.. IMHO it might happen and i wouldn't be mad..

they would have to mauver the other picks into more picks, but that's the opportunity you take, no major trades, no extra picks, just fall in your lap.. much better than using 3 1sts on Lance like SF and other teams have. he's a Sanders, its Dallas, I can for sure see it happen..

Who's the Cowboys owner again?
but it's not a joke most people have him in the top 10 at 12 hes worth shot..lmao.. really this something to do with Dallas use three first round picks for trey lance? . what's the Dallas owners responsible for 30 or 40 bad quarterback picks in the last decade? NOPE

If there were going to be a time that Dallas was going to take a risk, this would be the one, I would approve..
I get it it's a risk, that many teams have done this in the first round, and everybody here complaints Jerry wouldn't do it.. this is the type of guy that right now doesn't have to start for a couple of years, he gets the Jordan love/Romo treatment ,behind dak.. it would be an opportunity you shouldn't pass up.. I'm just telling you that I don't care what his future may or may not be...

The Eagles and Commanders have good and young QBs already. Dak was expensive but if he can play well for 3 or 4 more years, the other teams are going to have to give massive contracts to their QB.

If Dak only makes it 1 or 2 years Dallas will be stuck with the Cap but with those likely losing seasons, I could see them landing a top 5 pick and drafting their own rookie all star QB, so that kind of levels things out. So I think Dallas should build the team as though a rookie QB is coming in 2-3 years. Thoughts?
Play well for 3 to 4 more years???? Are you off your rocker??????? Prescott is an overpaid, over hyped bum, who is less than mediocre and isn't going to leas this team anywhere near the top of the Eastern Division. The Cowboys will be lucky to beat out the Giants for a lousy 3 place in their division. The Cowboys best bet at this moment is to tank the season, which shouldn't be too hard to do and hope they get the 1st pick in the 2026 draft. Arch Manning is at the end of the Cowboy rainbow if they play their cards right............

Personally I would draft Ewers in the 2nd round. I could see a team trading back into the first for him.

The Giants oline woes have been a decade plus long problem for them and are an Andrew Thomas injury away from being a sieve yet again.

Sanders could definitely improve their team but not like Daniels did for Washington last year as Sanders does not possess that type of dual threat ability. He's more a pocket QB and would probably get killed trying to play behind that line. I think that's why they got Wilson and Winston to maybe absorb some of that punishment so the rookie wouldn't have to so early in this rookie year.

So with all that said its still gonna be really interesting to watch Cleveland at #2 and Giants at #3 leading up to the draft and on draft day as they both need QBs.

Sorry dude I'm a Longhorn fan he's not a second round guy at best he's a 4th round guy he's got more red flags than Prescott has and you want to take this dude in in the second round no if he's there in a 4th round maybe you move up and get him but no he's a system quarterback right now and I don't know how well he's going to transfer into the NFL. I'm not trying to hate on the guy but I've watched every single one of his games he doesn't impress me at all he gets too many balls knocked down at the line of scrimmage in college he hesitates early in games that he's confused with defenses and he'll pull the rope on balls and get sacked where guys were actually open but they weren't open enough so he just takes sacks or he tried to take off at the last second in restaurant right up into the wall instead of going outside he's got a lot of red flags,

I'm not saying he can't be an NFL quarterback but I'd be very cautious on drafting him too high he needs to sit and I know he could hear but if he's gonna sit and he's got that many warts you better get him lower,

There's some other quarterbacks that are dark courses that are being overlooked that are gonna slide you can probably get one of those in the 5th round and they can end up being really good

Can see it happening and him electrifying that organization only for us to feel that we have to do the same and MISS BIG!!! ;)

Road to being the fourth placed team in the division
There’s something incredibly self-onanistic about all these posts reveling in a hypothetical future of the Cowboys being awful.

I would hate to hitch my wagon to one particular guy 3 years from now. Besides, I'm sure at least 25 other teams will be squirming to get at him. Manning is gonna be a good one but I hope there's a few more prospects available when we take the plunge.

Sanders is the second rated QB in a weak QB draft. No assurances he’ll be any good.
