Let's start over - Cowboys vs Titans

The fact that we are 4 point dogs vs the titans says enough.. We are a bad team

Exactly.

Let that sink in for a second fellas. The Titans have had exactly 1 single winning season in the past 5 years and just cleaned house of the entire coaching staff in the offseason......................and we are 4 point dogs to that.

That is where "the process" has lead us....................being road dogs to scrub teams now........................LOL

I had the cowboys winning 5-6 games before the season and now I think that might be tough to get. I thought they would go 3-3 against their division and 2-2 against the AFC South. I don't know that they win any against the AFC south. I think the Cowboys are looking at a top 5 pick. Bring on Marioti.

The important question is: Will there be more Cowboy fans in the stands at Tennessee than they had at the home opener?

Dang it, East...I never saw your name on the roster.

I am using "we" as a figure of speech, not as a literal interpretation....................did I really just have to explain that to you?

Apparently, as I was pointing out the emotional attachment that was going beyond a check list of actionable considerations.

The Titans defense led the league in passing last year. Only gave up 3 Passing TD's all season.

This does not bode well for Sir. Romo.

Not sure where you heard that but it's not even close to being true.

3 TD's all year would be pretty absurd. I spot checked only a few of their games to verify and counted at least 7 passing TD's against them. And they weren't games against prolific QB's.

I hear all the bounce back chatter that has been populating the board all week. Prior to the season, I had this pegged as an easy W.

Now....... I see us losing a close one in a heartbreaking fashion that will have the board fully engaged in discussion around Garrett's continued decision making incompetence next week.

Mad Dog Russo said it yesterday.

They gave up 15 passing TDs last year, which was indeed good for best in the league in that category. Only 13 picks though, which left them 13th in defensive passer rating. I'm fairly impressed with their defense and expect it to be top 10 this year.

I'd want to see more evidence to be convinced that Locker will regularly turn in performances like Week 1. I'm expecting a very close game tomorrow.

I watched the game. The Chiefs were basically incompetent on offense and gave away three turnovers. Their incompetence on offense and the two major defensive injuries eventually led to their points. Not really impressed by the Titans on either side. Alex Smith just will not throw the ball further than 10 yards

They looked similar to Dallas at their worst over the past few seasons in a way.

Sputtering, planless, unsure of what they wanted to do, refused to rely on a run game, went into a shell and gave up when they had two injuries to Johnson and DeVito because they lack depth due to cap issues and even had a shaky FG kicker. Missing Bowe and starting slop on the OL had a lot to do with it. They also squandered an emerging TE in Kelce who was dynamic every time he touched the ball.

On the other hand, Tennessee was no juggernaut, but I cannot say you can figure that they were not impressive. They executed very well. I think Whisenhunt and Horton are excellent coaches who get their points across.

The Titans gave up 15 passing TDs in 2013. That was the best in the league in that stat, but it's not 3.

They were 30th in rushing TDs.

It appears that part of the reason they didn't give up a lot of passing TDs was because teams knew it was easy to score rushing TDs on them.

They were 16th in defensive points per game allowed.

Interesting. There are some who think that would be enough to make the playoffs if this defense just got to that mid-point.

So, by some mystic intervention one is also able to judge the guts of another man, without the battle...

Yeah this will be a difficult game. I don't think people realize that Ray Horton once again has put together a formidable defense in Tennessee. A big day from the OL and Murray will be needed to limit the 3rd & longs.

And the offense we saw against the 49ers is not even close, despite the assertions all off season that it was going to be.

The offense we saw last week was basically derailed by one player. I think you either think Romo is likely to rebound and the offense has a shot of getting there or you think he isn't and we're a 3 win team. I'm going to lean toward the idea of Romo not having totally fallen off a cliff in less then one year's time, especially with a very good receiving corps and a very good offensive line around him.
