Let's start over - Cowboys vs Titans

The regular starters improved as the game went on. Whatis telling is no one wants to talk about STerling Moore who was worse and didn't get better.

I have to be honest. I don't even remember seeing him out there. That whole secondary just became one big blob to me. Guys letting guys run uncovered.

Their aerial game looked good last week Locker launched one to Hunter for a big gain. Sorry, just trying to stick with the theme we have going. :)

I get all the games on my package but for some reason I rarely watch any Titan games. I will this weekend. :p

Let's hope we get the win so we can put week one behind us. We may not face Clowney and Long as well. Hopefully we can take advantage of that.

Unless he heals super fast I think Clowney is pretty much out.

But JJ is coming. Should be fun.

The Titans beat the Chiefs at home last week, that says a lot since Arrowhead is a tough place to get a win. Looking at the numbers the Titans gave up less than 250 yards total defense. Was KC that bad on offense or were the Titans playing really good defense? If the Titans defense is for real it could be a long day, but then again one game doesn't make a trend either. On way or another high noon on Sunday will be upon us before we know it.

I watched the game. The Chiefs were basically incompetent on offense and gave away three turnovers. Their incompetence on offense and the two major defensive injuries eventually led to their points. Not really impressed by the Titans on either side. Alex Smith just will not throw the ball further than 10 yards

Run the ball, keep the patterns to no more than 12 yds beyond the LOS and we win.

It'd be tough to run the ball with the offense playing in such a confined box like that.

We should definitely still run vertical routes to stretch the field, but honestly I wouldn't even attempt to throw it down field unless it's blown coverage. I think our game plan should be dink-dunk and beat them with the ground game until Romo has a couple games under his belt this year. This would also benefit our defense as we wouldn't turn the ball over near as much and we should be able to keep them off the field longer.

And for the love of god, they need to drop the PA as well, at least momentarily. When your QB throws more interceptions than completions in that set, it's never a good thing.

I took the time to go back and watch the Titans vs Chiefs game to see what we might be up against. I think Tennessee really utilizes their running backs well. Not just in the running game but in the passing game as well. Quite a few plays were screens and dump off to the backs who were then able to exploit holes in the Chiefs D for solid gains. Additionally, they are pretty effective at getting their WR's the ball in the short passing game. They also had a nice balanced running attack to go with it, even before they took a commanding lead. Overall I'd call it a fairly conservative but efficient offense that tries to get guys open in space. I'd expect it to put the most pressure on our linebackers which concerns me. They used McCluster more than I thought they would and I could see our guys whiffing on some tackles that will lead to decent gains.

Defensively, they got a lot of pressure up front, more than I expected they would. Alex Smith never looked comfortable in the pocket and one of his INTs in the third quarter was pretty much a direct result of the pressure. The O-Line got pushed back into his face and he underthrew a deep ball as a result. Luckily we have a pretty good O-Line so I think we can counter that. Other than that I think their defense is vulnerable. When the Chiefs weren't suffering from the pressure they were able to move the ball fairly well through the air and I didn't think the Titans tackled particularly well which compounded the problem. Assuming Romo can shake off his week 1 rust and play like his old self I could see our offense doing well against them. I'm getting visions of Terrance Williams being pretty effective this week.

Let us hope the coaching staff gets away from what they are comfortable with and goes with Patmon over Moore.
