I just finished watching the Titans and Chiefs. If week 1 is any indication, then they have a good run defense, a GREAT offensive line, very good receivers and Locker is looking like a good QB. Their run game is solid, but not spectacular. Some additional things I noticed:

They dominated the Chiefs, but after watching that game I think KC is going to be much worse than last year. Their receivers are terrible and so is their offensive line. The Titans played a game-plan that will kill KC the entire year; keeping their defenders close to the LOS and suffocating the run and short passes. Andy Reid just stopped feeding Charles and asked Smith to win it. The results were pretty ugly.

Their run defense looks stout, but the Titans do not seem to have a great pass rusher on their team and their secondary looks beatable. I would not be surprised if Dallas does a 60/40 pass run split in the first quarter and even scores on a long pass in the first few series. I know, not a popular thought, but Romo should have a clean pocket and time for his receivers to break free.

The Titans O-line is legit and they are going to move the ball. As such, I don't think Dallas can win this game unless they score in the high twenties. Romo has to brings his A game and make better decisions with the football to win.

That could have some social redemption if could just find....the Ripple bottle.

Quit trying to muscle in on Deion Sander and Bill Cowher disdain...

If you think drivel like that makes you look intelligent it doesn't.

Wasn't it a Titan that stomped on our players head a few years ago & got in big trouble?

I am not good with names but I remember that. And I remember he got suspended by the team. That was nasty.

Crazy!

He got suspended for 5 games when it should have been for the entire season. He stomped on Andre Gurode's head knocking his helmet off and cutting him. Jeff Fisher ripped into Haynesworth on the sidelines. That happened in week 3 of the 2006 season. The only good thing that came away from that was the Cowboys beat down Tenn 45-14.

Can't we all get along, guys? Or disagree more nicely? I think we can.

I don't have a problem with nice...rude is another storyline.

Sanders and Cowher just finished a segment a couple of days ago...and their theme was disdain for all that was Cowboys. That goes upon them. As to carrying a continuous theme of negative directed at a poster posting, that I refer to as burn barrel stuff...but directed neither pictured response towards anyone or specific attachment in the thread, beyond a continuous tendency to label every single thing as a problem directly with Jerry Jones, Jason Garrett, the complete coaching staff, or the sounding board at present, Claiborne.

That is a discussion directed comment.

As to insult, I don't take that all the way up to and including the President. I'm very easy to talk to on subject or context that I present.

If I want to direct at a particular person and not a concept, then I would use the second person, YOU. Which I didn't. But was used towards myself...and intended to be an insult.

My point was that discussion involves a progression inclusive of elements that can contribute. Not a continual supply of insult and horsewash.

This next game is against the Titans. The Cowboys enter that on solid ground. I also like the directions that are coming from the defensive line and the return by quite a few players up front. The linebackers, despite the loss of Sean Lee and the muscle pull by Durant, were starting to get their side of things together. If the defensive line starts holding their side of the picture...well, the secondary will start to fall in line a great deal more as well.

The Titans don't present a same picture that San Francisco did. First, the Cowboys won't deal with as mobile and threat from their quarterback. The secondary can open up some, and look after more interest that are to their own advantage now.

Now, this is a description of looking forward to an opponent, which should be on the plate for site...right now. Not a continual barrage of burn barrel jargan.

I don't attempt to look 'smart' from the start. But don't trip up, and just start insulting me...I was an actual soldier for a long time...and believe me, I'll dig my heels in and conversations better at least be correct. That part of the deal, is what I believe now...

Words were received, and I still attempt to discuss, first.

Titans run a 3-4 and the DL dominated the Chiefs.

The only lineman starting, that doesn't have pretty good experience at the professional levels against a 3-4, is Martin.

I don't think the interior for the Titans, is on par with that of San Francisco. Even with the injuries on the outside. (defense)

The bottom line on the secondary, is pretty much summed here:

Despite some positives, the Cowboys’ defense looked rather familiar Sunday. And that’s not positive considering the unit a year ago was historically bad.

The strength of the Cowboys’ defense is the secondary. That’s where Dallas has its big investments.

The Cowboys signed Carr to a five-year, $50.1 million contract in 2012. That was about a month before they traded their second-round pick to move up eight spots in the first round to draft cornerback Morris Claiborne sixth overall. Cornerback Orlando Scandrick, who is suspended the first four games, is signed through 2018. And safety Barry Church was named the club’s defensive MVP a year ago.

For the defense to keep its head above water this year, the Cowboys must get greater returns from their major investments. The secondary has to excel.

Carr and Claiborne — both of whom missed a lot of preseason time — struggled in pass coverage against the 49ers. So did second-year safety J.J. Wilcox.

Of the 99 cornerbacks graded by ProFootballFocus.com in the opening week, Carr and Claiborne rank in the bottom 10 in pass coverage. Wilcox ranked fifth worst in pass coverage among the 75 safeties graded in the first week by PFF. Wilcox also missed three tackles in the opener...

So smart? Tell me what I said...and put humor back into it!

I put some humor into your response several weeks ago but I couldn't find any humor in your last reply. You have to do a better job of setting me up. Had you left your original response alone and not edited it you might have given me something to work with. lol
