If it's somehow Dan Quinn's destiny to leave the Cowboys in 2024, it'll be because he'd do so of his own volition and not the FO. Let's just hope that doesn't happen anytime soon but if it does, count me among those who will surely be saddened by his loss. The players love him, and most are willing to go the extra mile to see that they're at their best for their own benefit and his, as well. I feel very privileged to have had him as our DC in our recent years of the past. It'll likely be very difficult, if not almost impossible to replace him, imho. I'm sure several pro teams share that opinion of him.

I guess I’m confused because to my knowledge one guy runs the offense and one runs the defense. This offense was top 5 prior to Mike taking over it and this defense was *** prior to Quinn taking over so I don’t get the downgrade comment?
MM has a far better track record as a head coach than DQ. DQ is a proven elite DC. Until proven otherwise. That’s what he is. MM is a upper echelon head coach. Good dc doesn’t = good head coach

Dak is having a career year under the 1st season with MM running the offense, no chance they fire him over promoting Dan Quinn. This day and age, the league is all about the offense. No doubt, Quinn has done an excellent job as the team's DC, but hiring him as the team's HC would be a mistake.

Really not worried who Quinn decides to run his defense as most of the current assistants were originally hired by MM. Whitt has been with MM for years, coached under Quinn in Atlanta and has done the same here at Dallas. Believe he is the next in line to get the DC job here in Dallas. Don't think Quinn will force their hand as he always has been respectful.

Which players could we lose? Armstrong, Fowler, Kearse, Gilmore, maybe Hankins? Outside of Hankins, I don't believe the Cowboys have any intention of bringing these players back.
Curious on your thoughts on MMs job security? Forget replacing him with Quinn or anyone else. Dal loses to Gb - close loss. MM job in question ? Dal loses in divisional round- close loss. MM on the hot seat? What do you think? I think we all agree if he wins 2 playoff games. He’s 100% safe. What if he doesn’t. Your thoughts on what Dallas should do and what you think they would do please

Seattle hiring Dan Quinn seems like hiring a younger Pete Carroll. I imagine Seattle let Carroll go so they could move in a totally new direction.

If I was a betting man, I'm putting my chips on that happening (DQ to Seattle).

"IF" the Boys happen to lose to the Packers this weekend, and that's a BIG IF.. then let both go and bring in Belichick and let him pick his crew..
Oh yeah bring in another below. 500 retread with his wack son. You all have no problem with nepotism for the unqualified. And you love giving coaches with below average records chance after chance. But you all are quick to say "Rooney Rule" or "he's not ready" when a coach does not look like you.

I swear many of you LOVE MEDIOCRITY.

Well. I think Joe Whitt Jr could take his place as DC and run his system. But that’s only if Whitt isn’t allowed to leave and go be DQ’s DC wherever he may go to b

I rather have McCarthy. DQ is a great coach and defensive coordiantor, but I don't want him as a HC.

If they lose Saturday…I can’t say for certain Mike is brought back.
It depends more on how badly we play. If we are in a close game that is very competitive and catch a bad break I doubt Jerry and Stephen will cut the cord. But on the other hand never say never. This ownership has made a number of stupid hiring and firing decisions over the years.

Unprepared Dan Quinn. What a terrible job by him today.

He never even dialed up a blitz against a rookie QB even when they were pinned inside their 5
