Let's talk about Jason Garrett..

Frankly.. the offense hasn't been very good since about week 3 of this season and I'm starting to wonder if Garrett is the wonderkid we all thought he was.

Week 6- 374 net yards, 24 points
Week 5- 373 net yards, 31 points
Week 4- 344 net yards, 24 points

Week 3- 453, 27
Week 2- 380, 34
Week 1- 487, 28

I'd say the offense went from Great, to good, to terrible without the QB. Garret is fine, leave it be.

The defense played FANTASTIC today and it was almost all for nothing because of Garrett's offense.

I know you're sitting there waiting to tell me how awful Brad Johnson is and how the offense will be much better when Tony Romo gets back.

So, I ask you this.. if all we need is Romo to get back, then why even employ Garrett? What difference does he really make? I'm starting to think that this is a guy who, unless he has an all-pro at every position, really can't field the kind of dominant offense he had last year.

Or maybe he can, but if he's going to be our head coach next year he better start showing it soon. Because I'd just as soon rather have a creative mind who uses all the weapons at his disposal and can still get the job done whether one of them is missing or not.

Our offensive coaches should be aware the Barber is wearing down. He needs to rotate to some extent with another back.

I haven't seen the play chart but on the last drive it was almost exclusively Barber and he was tired.

I'm sorry he was tired but we needed that game in the worst way and if he Wants to be the Man he has to step up (which he did) in games like this.

I love how all the problems go away with a win.
it doesn't. It's just observing that he improved in this game over the past two weeks and most of the problems on offense in this game was not due to Garrett's playcalling but Brad being the qb.

Not sure what game you were watching. There are still alot of problems with this team . But it's probably easier to fix them after a win.

Garrett hasn't been the problem, I dont see any we love Wade threads, no we love Stewart threads, no yay bruce read threads

I have my doubts about Ginger Jason, but I will give him a pass for today. Johnson flat out sucks. He has to wind up like Nolan Ryan to throw the ball 10 yards.

I don't give Jason Garrett a free pass because Brad Johnson is the quarterback, because the only reason Brad Johnson is in Dallas is because he's "Jason's guy". And for all the crap Parcells got for bringing in Vinny and Bledsoe, those guys look like Dan Marino compared to what we've witnessed the last two weeks. I'm not sure we've seen back-to-back performances like this from the QB position since Quincy's rookie year.

No QB, pleas tell me what he could have done better when your QB barely has enough arm to throw a check down :bang2:

This game shows why the NFL is based on QB play. The better the QB, the more likely your team is going to win games. For years the Colts defense has been pathetic, even giving up over 5 yards a carry and not being able to sack the QB, but Peyton Manning was so good that it was still routine for the Colts to win 12 or 13 games in a season. Now Peyton isn't having the greatest of seasons and the Colts are not likely to make the playoffs.

The offense has been setting team records under Garrett. It's a bit hard to judge the impact on Romo since he only started 10 games under Parcells, but with Garrett the offense has still improved.

I can't see judging Garrett on today's game given Johnson couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from anything 10+ yards out. Any opposing defense can defend that quite easily and that would handcuff any offensive coordinator.

Hutchinson was far worse.

And when was Brad Johnson "Jason's guy." I thought he was a Jerry/Wade signing from day one.

I don't see how Hutchinson could be "far" worse. Throw away the garbage TD at the end of the game last week, and Johnson's stats are atrocious. How can you be far worse than zero?

Brad came here from his together with Garrett in Tampa in 2004.

Johnson told team officials he believed he could start in the NFL.

Denver and Dallas expressed the most interest. And each has a young quarterback as starter – Dallas with Romo and Denver with Jay Cutler.

Johnson elected to sign with Dallas because he has a good relationship with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and receivers coach Ray Sherman. Johnson was Garrett's teammate with Tampa Bay in 2004. Sherman was Johnson's quarterbacks coach from 1995 to 1997 when he played in Minnesota.

"I had a very good connection with Jason Garrett coming in there as a coordinator," Johnson said. "I had a past with Ray Sherman, and I just thought it was a great fit more than anything else."

Asking garrett to be great with BJ at QB is like asking Michael Phelps to win the gold with an anchor tied to arse.

Exactly...BJ and I mean that literally is the worst QB in the history of the NFL
