I don't see how Hutchinson could be "far" worse. Throw away the garbage TD at the end of the game last week, and Johnson's stats are atrocious. How can you be far worse than zero?

By getting sacked like crazy and then topping it off by fumbling the ball. Which is exactly what Hutchinson did. On a day like today, Hutchinson would've been good for at least 5 sacks and probably 2 fumbles.

Don't get me wrong, Johson was horrific, but Hutchinson was far worse.

As I said in the game thread.

No.

This was all on Brad, he had some guys wide open and flat out missed them.

This was a good game plan I thought.

I think you are mostly right, but where is the pass off the slant, or the third WR crossing? Where was the speed down the sideline? I realize Johnson limits the play calling, but, the decision to keep Romo in the pocket ala Tom Brady was wrong. Whoever came up with that made a mistake. Let Romo do his thing.

It's really that simple. Brad's poor play dictated what Garrett could call all day.

Because today's offensive performance was pretty pathetic.

As was last week's.

Frankly.. the offense hasn't been very good since about week 3 of this season and I'm starting to wonder if Garrett is the wonderkid we all thought he was.

The defense played FANTASTIC today and it was almost all for nothing because of Garrett's offense.

I know you're sitting there waiting to tell me how awful Brad Johnson is and how the offense will be much better when Tony Romo gets back.

So, I ask you this.. if all we need is Romo to get back, then why even employ Garrett? What difference does he really make? I'm starting to think that this is a guy who, unless he has an all-pro at every position, really can't field the kind of dominant offense he had last year.

Or maybe he can, but if he's going to be our head coach next year he better start showing it soon. Because I'd just as soon rather have a creative mind who uses all the weapons at his disposal and can still get the job done whether one of them is missing or not.

I am a big Garett critic. Not because i don't like him or he is not good. Just because i think before you symolize someone as the next Offensive Guru he has to show his talent in many kind of ways. And everybody on this board crowned him as the new Head coach already. With being critc against Garett i try to keep thing in perspective. Garett for example hasn't shown the talent of being adaptive when Defenses know how to game plan against him.

But this bad offense performance wasn't all his fault. Sorry to say it that hard but Brad Johnson flat out sucks. Last week was really bad and this week wasn't much better. I have barly seen a QB whos balls are that often off target. And often he had single coverage on the Receiver. And when he made that bold statement after lkast weeks game "i think i threw the ball really good" was the point where this guy lost me.

I just wonder wether our thrid string QB is really that bad ?! I hope Romo will be back next game. I know that's wishfull thinking. But with Brad against the Giants our Defense has to double it's effort to help us come away with a win.

Again, why does Garrett get a free pass for Brad Johnson when Garrett brought him here?

our wr's and te's were open all over the field, but Johnson rarely delivered and even the one's he completed were mostly poor throws

the OL is my main concern right now...they are playing poorly...once Romo comes back, if he's healthy the passing game will be fine...but they have to block better than this garbage we've seen the last 4 or 5 games

One thing Garrett needs to do is not rely on one play. We saw the "Fake slant draw" 100 times too many, and today barber was nearly stopped on a 4th down after we ran him 3 times in similar situations from the fullback spot.

My only thing with Garrett is he needs to mix it up.

If Tony was playing today, the pass plays that were called would have given Tony a career day. Owens was open all over the field today as was Austin and Wiliiams....Brad just can't get the ball to the WRs if they are 10 yards down the field.

We would have hung 40 or 50 on the Bucs with Tony.

He brought him in as a backup last year. This year he brought in another QB

Losing Romo was not Garretts fault. No backup QB in the NFL would keep the offense going as good as Romo does

Asking garrett to be great with BJ at QB is like asking Michael Phelps to win the gold with an anchor tied to arse.

What a drag...

He didn't do squat to rectify the situation. He just had to bring in another horrible backup to hedge his bets because Johnson had looked so and he let Moore go last year (even though he had completely outplayed Johnson) .

I'm not asking him to run the offense to Romo's level, I'm just asking him to not be the worst starting quarterback in the NFL (in a league where a lot of backups have to play). BJ couldn't hold Matt Cassell or Seneca Wallace's jock.

If Wade brought in one his favorite players from San Diego and he played horrible, he would be getting crucified. "The Golden Child" gets a free pass.

Still think the way to get TO open is to put him in motion or simply run him across the middle. Crayton, as well. Quick slants. None of that.

yeah never mind the fact Garrett wanted to sign Kerry Collins, but Collins didnt want to change teams again.

guess that doesnt support your agenda does it?

yeah funny how nobody noticed that Carolina thought so much of him as the 32, that they signed someone else to replace him

No, this is more of a "Garrett assured Wade and Jerry that Brad Johnson could at least functionally run his offense if it came down to it, and he was abysmally wrong and it might cost the Cowboys their season" thing.

Again, Brad Johnson couldn't hold Seneca Wallace's jock. Someone needs to be held accountable for bringing in this washed up player in here and deciding to go with him as the #2 on the team's most important position. He has no accuracy, no arm strength, no mobility and no longterm upside. He brings absolutely zilch to the table. Why was he brought here? Because he and Garret played snap the towel in the Buccaneers shower room a few years ago? Maybe I'm alone in that haven't drunk the Garrett Kool Aid, because I'm one of the few who find it unacceptable.

Jason has had to work with Brad Johnson. And a suddenly very average line.

Give Jason his chance as a HC. He's smart, young and levelheaded.
He's an enevitability.

Brad really, really sucks.

Don't forget this O has struggled even with Romo in there. Garrett has been figured out more than not and I don't see him mixing it up enough. I am however glad he limited his attempts on the deep pass but he needs to get Choice involved. If we don't at least try Brooks out next week we are gonna go 1-1 with BJ next week. I don't care if Brooks doesn't know the play book enough he can at least pass better and scramble some...

i have hardly been impressed with Red's performance this year. i dont blame him for Johnson's crappyness but he still needs to be more creative with his playcalling. a lot of times i can predict the play call before it happens, if i can do it imagine what NFL players and coaches are able to do

I couldn't understand why Garret called a draw play on 3rd and 14, just doesnt make sense.

It makes a ton of sense, he has a QB that cant throw the ball over 10 yards. Its basically a give up play, but when BeeeeJay is your QB, thats what you have to do.
