I would expect us to come out with a focus on the run and trying to gut them early so they start loading the box. Both Zeke and Pollard should be getting 15 touches each against these guys. I would also expect that they will probably try and give Dak some shorter reads just to get him back into game shape and limit any risk exposure for needing to push it down field.

I'm perfectly fine with dinking and dunking these guys down field, wearing the defense out and making time of possession as important as the score. They have no depth, their confidence is shot, let's go ahead and stomp on it a little bit more.

Detroit is the #2 offense in football in yards and average 28 points per game. They will keep coming at you as we’ve seen in a lot of there games.

The defense however is dead last in yards allowed by a lot. Even if Coop has to play we should be able to move the ball.

This should be a cake walk but that team won’t quit as we’ve witnessed all season. And yes they were shut out against NE but if you haven’t noticed lately Bill is getting his mojo back folks.

I don't consider any NFL game a cakewalk. It will be a pretty good test for our defense since we've mostly played teams with ailing offensive lines and offenses that had not found themselves yet. Philly was the defense's toughest test so far, and they didn't pass that with flying colors. Now, there are reasons for that, but the defense has a lot to prove after Sunday night's game.

This game is probably gonna be tougher then a lot think but you gotta win it. I'm looking forward to seeing how our defense plays against them
.. I just hope the defense keeps the FIGHT in them.

According to sources they took it hard VS Eags. I thought they did great job, considering Rush put them in bad situations most of game.

I'd rather talk about the NY Giants (5-1) & the NY Jets (4-2) :muttley:

The negative Nancy's will say it's a "trap game" or, Detroit is under .500 Dak will put up "garbage stats"....blah blah & blah!

Regardless their record Detroit has scored a lot of points but they’ve given up a lot of points. It’s going to be a tough game because we’ve been involved in tough games all season. We don’t score enough points to pull away from anyone. It may take Dak a couple of games to get his game back if he ever does get it back. The last time he returned from an injury he wasn’t good and remained inconsistent the rest of the season. Having a thumb injury has kept him from throwing the ball the past five weeks. Anytime the Cowboys are coming off a loss we have to see how they’re going to respond.

We’re two games down to a red hot Eagles team so we have little room for error. Their schedule doesn’t look that daunting the rest of the way so we have to start stringing wins together. With the offensive struggles we’ve had and some of the defensive issues we have against the run we have to show up every week ready to play. We’re currently in third place in the division so we’re in a deep enough hole and it’s critical that we bounce back against the Lions. If we don’t then the wheels could start coming off.

Detroit got popped in the mouth by New England and is now coming off a bye. Dan Campbell is a fighter and sitting at 1-4 their season is on the line. I fully expect Detroit to throw the kitchen sink at the Cowboys this week, plus Dak hasn't played in over a month now.

It's a game the Cowboys should win, but this one could be a lot uglier than the general consensus would lead us to believe. I just hope Kellen Moore sticks to the run game, our oline should be able to handle their front 7 in the run game. Control the game on the ground, let Dak ease back into things, and keep the defense from being on the field 35+ minutes. Detroit on offense isnt a joke, but Dallas should be able to handle them as long as we arent turning the ball over like last week.

..we got Dak back. One thing about Dak he can put up points.

Taking away the 51 points vs. Philly's 3rd stringers last season and the 56 points against the pathetic Washington defense last season, the Dak led offense has put up an average of 19.5 points/game in the last 6 games (including playoff loss).

That said, will there be rust to start the game and how will the defense hold up against a Detroit offense that has averaged 28 points/game in their 5 games so far?

Although Detroit is sporting a 1-4 record, this is not a 'walkover' game for Dallas.

....regardless, the record. Goff and Co aren't going to lay down.

I expect a good game. Of course, all eyes will be on Dak.

This could be his breakout of funk game.
Good offense, bad defense. Game will be fun to watch.

Hopefully the defense comes out inspired and plays fundamentally sound inspired football. The Lions are dangerous and were lighting up the scoreboard until NE shut em down. This game could turn out to be much more difficult than what some here think.
