I think Jerry should tell Mike to take control of the offensive game plan \ play calling for a week. Don't let the outside world know. Roll into a game against unsuspecting opponents and see what happens.

I see plays that are just poorly executed but I also feel that KM has some blind spots in how he views the game that other teams key on.

Would like to see someone else (Mike since he is supposed to be an offensive mind) call the shots so we had a comparison to better judge.
I would love to see this happen, but it wont, and it would take awhile to implement.
Jerry wants kellen to run the offense and call plays, and he is emperor , so until he decides to let mike give it a try, it will remain as is.

Most OC's/DC's come up thru the ranks, as position coaches for 5-10 years or more and have a better understanding of the whole game.
kellen had one season of qb coach lol
It would do kellen some good if he worked as a defensive coach for awhile.

if we cant run and convert 3rd and 1 then we have a huge problem going forward.i know the Lions had 8 in the box but even then we should be able to get 1 yard.

The OL was not getting any push on those 3rd and shorts. In fact, they were the ones getting pushed back. C and LG still big weaknesses.

Drive 1 - Bad pass by Prescott on first attempt and then a sack
Drive 2 - Can't convert 3rd and 1 run
Drive 3 - Can't convert 3rd and 2 run
Drive 4 - Penalties
Drive 5 - Fumble
Drive 6 - TD
Drive 7 - Sack-great defensive play by Hutchinson
Drive 8 - Can't convert 3rd and 1 AGAIN run

This was not a bad Dak game, It was pretty poor by the offense on the 3rd down plays that cost us sustained drives. They seemed to have a letdown thinking they did not have to makeup for Rush's shortcomings

Hahaha.

Love this post.

I must go back and re-watch that play. If I remember correctly, Prescott threw a high pass but I thought the receiver got both hands on the ball before it hit the ground. If true, I define those types of passes as poor but not bad. Any receiver should not be forced to jump for a pass if they are (wide) open. That said, bad passes equal uncatchable balls for me. However, I will always put most of the blame on the receiver for not catching a catchable ball regardless if it is delivered great, fair or poor.
I just watched the replay-that’s not a drop in my book. When the receiver jumps for the ball and can only get his finger tips on it that is not a drop

Some of those third and short plays were like playing Tecmo Super Bowl in the nineties and your opponent guessed right on what offensive play you called. All his players then swarm you for a loss.
Lol this is actually a great analogy.

Those fast passes to the backs make the LB's play honest. We start smoking them on the outside it will open up the middle.
CD running a slant. Fast play. Zeke stays in and defends Prescott against a blitz. No blitz move to an open field. It shouldn't be this hard. Hit one of the RB's for a quick gain.

I guess whomever people hate the most they blame that player or coach. The Oline had a terrible game. If there was a part of the offense to blame it was that.

So why is it Moore's fault when the Oline has a bad day?
Didn’t blame anything on Moore. They won the game and I’ll take it.

He just had better games this year IMO from what I recall of watching it once. He seemed predictable again.

Hey…if the line is gonna have a crappy day, or even a so-so one, it’s gonna show on the field, and that’s part of what happened….but at the same time Moore has to know the limitations thereof and call plays accordingly.

I could be proven wrong, but I’m not sure he does that all that well.

I will concede Noah Brown got both sets of fingers (no palms) on the ball, which caused the ball to change trajectory like a tipped ball and self-created a second opportunity to haul it in but it beat him up on his way to the ground.

A very blurry stillshot (I need a better cable receiver):

Noah's not the most athletic guy out there. We saw his funky stumbled jump on that one TD from Rush. There are guys that make that catch easily but Noah is not one of them. That's no fault on Noah, that's who he is as a WR and the QB has to know that. This kinda reminds me of the Dwight Clark catch. When you look at the replay these days there is nothing special about that catch, it is standard stuff but they made such a big deal about the "catch" and it was really all Montana!

Coming off the Bye, Lions were fired up and had a good game plan to get Okudah making plays as his 15 tackles showed.
Looked as he did at Grand Prairie.
Dallas defense kept after it and they eventually wilted.

All that said Dallas beat itself up early with silly pre-snap penalties and just looked out of sorts.
Yep.

Okudah was really impressive. Willing tackler. Physical.

They have the foundation of a special defense in the making. Hutchinson looks like a third Bosa.

When Rush played, the Cowboys faced both SB teams, the 5-0 Eagles and the 4-1 Giants…..not the worst defense in the league Lions……….strength of opposition matters

Yeah they both were SB teams by uniforms, but they weren't playing on there SB skillset levels. They didn't have winning records when we played them. I stand to be corrected if im wrong.

For all the people saying the Lions are the worse.... hiw is it the almost beat the undefeated Eagles and only loss by 3. They almost beat the 5-1 Vikings and only loss by 4. They almost beat the 4-3 Seahawks and only loss by 3. But we beat the Lions by 18..... and people still crying.

Oh, speaking of opposition matters.... the GOAT, Tom Brady was held to 3 points by a Panthers team who has the worst defense, an interim coach, traded their best player and gave up on the season...

But still held Brady to 3 points....

Aaron Rodgers lost to the Giants and Commanders.... two teams that Dak owns, and two teams that Rush led us to victories over. Interesting....
