Let's Talk Eagles

i hope i get to watch this game. gonna be one for the books...
I think westbrook will be key...You think reggie bush is bad? Westbrook wrote the book on finesse RBs. I only saw garcia play once this year but he looked extremely erratic.
When the saints beat them it was with mcnabb so i guess it was different but they didnt seem to have an answer to the deepball, and getting pressure on the qb wasnt much of a problem.
I have to hope for the eagles on this one for obvious reasons but good luck guys.

Yeah, but we've played against Westbrook 2 times a year since he's been in the league. This isn't the first time facing him.

In addition, the Eagles don't have half our coaching staff and players from last year, like the Saints do.

just for clarification i was referring to when the saints beat the eagles. (dont wanna be called a troll)

We have to give them a dose of JJ & MBII.

They're run 'D" has been suspect this year and with our tandem we should be able to tire them out.Run,Run,Run.

That should open up the passing game for TR.

JMO you understand.

I live in the Philly market and have watched most of the games (when they haven't conflicted with the boys). It's an overachieving team, and they have no chance of winning on Monday. No chance. Really.

I never understood why we went away from running the last time we played them. We abandoned the run midway through the 3rd quarter when we were losing by 3 points! Hard to believe that we were leading in that game 21-17 at halftime, despite the shaky start.

We should have run, run, run the rest of the game. Julius did get 100 yards in that game on 26 carries, but I would have liked to see more MB3, especially at the end of the game near the goal line for the score that would have tied the game.

That pick 6 by Bledsoe still bugs me.

I've found that same scenario with alot of our games this year.

I can't for the life of me understand it.

True, and just when I think the coaching staff has figured it out, they abandon the run again. The abandoning of the run against the Saints bugs me the most. IMO, even when you're down by 2 TD's at the half, and the defense is sucking wind, the best cure is to run the ball. A time consuming drive with lots of runs may net a TD, and give the defense a chance to get their legs back. All of the sudden, you're back in the game and the defense plays better because they're rested. It also keep the other offense off the field, when it is clear that they're on fire.

A prime example is our last scoring drive against the Falcons. MBIII ran like a madman, and we ate up over 6 minutes off the clock. We got the TD, and it was game, set, match! After that drive, the Falcons had no chance. Those are the types of drives that playoff teams put together...the types of drives that Emmitt would put together in his prime.

I get the impression (and my wife actually pointed this out also) that for some reason, we were trying to showcase Romo against the Saints. As if to prove something to Sean Payton. The playcalling left me scratching my head, and I watched the game 3 times. Even early in the game, we put too much emphasis on Romo, and not on the running game, right after JJ ran wild for a 77 yard TD. Unbelievable!

JJ seemed to have the "hot hand" early in that game, and we let it cool down.

That game hurt me the worst.

Coming from you that means something to me.

However, I won't relax until we put a W up. They appear to run screens well when I've watched them and that and other passes and delays to the RBs are giving us problems. What is it that makes you feel this way; if you have time for it?

servicable wideout in Basket
serviceable wideout in Basket huh? It's such a bummer you don't think highly of our #3 wideout. No need to talk about the starters, Reggie Brown and Dante Stallworth, let's just focus on the #3 guy. The same guy that put up over 100 on the Cowboys swiss cheese secondary.

Their OL is big and physical, so we need our front three to hold up at the point of attack.

The LBs need to be ready to contain the off tackle runs and also watch the flats.

Newman should erase Stallworth, but Henry on Brown needs help.

Just like the skins and giants had no chance, I'm sure. The skins handed you a loss and the giants made you sweat. We handled both teams, and we have a hell of a chance against the cowboys.

OK, if you really want to know something, here's something you should know.

The Eagles have been using alot of two back sets with Westbrook and Buckhalter on the field at the same time. Defenses key in to Westbrook and the Eagles use this to make Buckhalter more productive. They'll split Westy out wide and run, fake a reverse to Westy and run, fake a toss to Westy and run, fake a screen to Westy and then throw to Buckhalter, etc.

Buckhalter is averaging more yards per reception than Westbrook, because of all the attention Westbrook receives.

Fullbacks have burned the Cowboys the last two games.

Buckhalter, although a halfback, often lines up at fullback and I expect a big game from him.

Did you really take the time to set your sig up by playing a 2 player game?

Wow, thanks for all this wonderful information! I will pass it on to Parcells...I'm sure he don't know any of this!

You da gal....!

take care of the ball and we win.

Commanders dominated eagles but turned the ball over
giants had four turnovers last week
cowboys had way too many turnovers first game

we'll be fine, i'm confident we aren't turning the ball over anymore

Oh yeah the big bad Reggie Bown, sweating' bullets thinking of his performances. Stallworth was hot in the start of the season but has since cooled. Your team just isn't that good, Basket has been a reliable target for Garcia.

3 game win streak against a lousy bunch, permit me to yawn in your general direction.

"Handled" wouldn't be a word I would choose, up by seven until Eli throws a daft ball in the waning minutes is hardly a schooling.
