I know you get all huffy when people directly respond to the topic of the thread instead of playing your silly smack-bait game, but this is the question that was posed and this is what I was responding to:

How is their run and pass offense?
How do they match up with us etc?

eagles should follow the saints strategy on this one...pass to set up the run. The cowboys have a good run defense, but are susceptible to being opened up by a successful passing attack...especially a west coast style passing attack as it produces long drives, similar to a solid running drive..

Now, I might get huffy at eagle trolls who come here and brag about their team doing anything, because, your team has DONE NOTHING!

That's why I might appear to get huffy...


However, just to make you happy for a little while today, the game will be close in the 3/4 of the game, then in the last quarter the Cowboys will take over the game...your team is just to old to hang with these young, strong, guys...this is a new team from the one that played your team last time.

The Cowboys are going to wear the eagles out...your team will not be able to hang the whole game...

OK, if you really want to know something, here's something you should know.

The Eagles have been using alot of two back sets with Westbrook and Buckhalter on the field at the same time. Defenses key in to Westbrook and the Eagles use this to make Buckhalter more productive. They'll split Westy out wide and run, fake a reverse to Westy and run, fake a toss to Westy and run, fake a screen to Westy and then throw to Buckhalter, etc.

Buckhalter is averaging more yards per reception than Westbrook, because of all the attention Westbrook receives.

Fullbacks have burned the Cowboys the last two games.

Buckhalter, although a halfback, often lines up at fullback and I expect a big game from him.

I noticed this and you guys are having a lot of success with it.

I don't know why the Boys cannot fix the fullback/TE screen problem I hope the Boys play a lot of nickel and shadow the RB's and TE's.

I think you are right about this and this is my biggest fear. Karney and Griffith beat us and Buckhalter is a better runner. We refuse to cover the flats. Garcia doesn't need to test our safties until we can cover the flats. If Buckhalter and Westbrook both run into the flats then one of them is guaranteed not to be covered and it's usually to Ware's side because he is rushing the passer. Apparently, the dump off pass cannot be stopped.
