It' the OL coach. I don't think we put the proper successor for Callahan. This group is too talented to waste it with mediocre coach

OL has been underwhelming so far these first two games.
Makes you wonder how much of it was Romo also, or the respect that he gets from the defenses.

Get Zeke and Dak some more experience and when Zeke has those solid games, long runs, and Dak can burn them deep. Then they need to respect those play making abilities, and thongs will loosen up.
I think you have to give other teams credit for finding a way to attack the OL.

We all forget each Sunday..

you have to expect other teams to adjust based on what they see other teams do.

Plus you have to respect the other players on defense.

They get up for the challenge to defeat the OL.

Since we make it our trademark..

they are going to challenge.

But not every defense has the player/coaches to challedge.

Give it some time..still very early in the season.

I would like to get DMAC back to see what he can do.

Dunbar as our #3 RB is not going to get it.

perhaps the most overrated group in the league. Can't run block at all. Not very good in pass protection either. They made Trent Murphy look like Lawrence Taylor out there.
So what is the problem? Is it really the loss of Callahan? Is it just Free and Collins being so bad it's destroying the whole line? Should a move to green and Leary be in the works?
It's just mind boggling that we aren't better up front

So why the hype? Jerra-fueled?

I agree, Dunbar is more of a WR than a RB !!!

Be careful to blame this deteriorating OL play on the loss of Callahan, because then that would mean Garrett ran off the guy that built this OL and made it what it is and then the narrative about Garrett doing it himself will have to be re-written again... As I said, we clearly aren't running sweeps like we use to.

Whatever man. We just dropped 27 on a division rival with a rookie QB and rookie RB. That's largely because of one of the best lines in the game.
I agree. Why are some fans picking apart everything that went wrong or what players they need to get rid of? They won the game

Everyone is a critic. Michael Strahan said everyone has been stacking the box with 7 or 8 guys against the Cowboys all the time. Making Dak try to beat them since he is a rookie. And he should know what he's seeing.

The Cowboys did a good job today and won a tough road game against a hated division rival.

Just enjoy it.

The Giants held the Saints to about forty rushing yards and Brees to about 260 yds. They still won in the last second.
I think their Defense is the real deal we should not beat ourselves up too badly for that game. Now the skins and their Dline is a different story. There is real room for improvement, not sure when James Hanna is eligible to come back and when he will back to normal. Until then Swaim and Witten need to step it up as they are clearly part of the problem.

True..

we lost to the Jints by one point who are very improved with their $200 mil defense..

and it took 2 dropped passes for TDs..

to lose.

Thats pretty close if you ask me.

1 pt. difference and we just beat the defending NFC East champs.

Lets relax and enjoy for at least 24 hrs.

Wrong!

EE has a 4.0 average, 83 yards and a TD. Dak often had plenty of time. The Cowboys won.

Teams are going to stack the line against the run when you have a rookie QB.

If there is any issue, it would be with the blocking of the TEs. Luckily they changed things up and didn't put Witten in as many bad blocking situations as last week, but he still had some struggles.

You have to add in Wittens drop in blocking. He is constantly getting beat in the run game and when he helps with max protect.

Great point and tough to post in here - but exactly right. He has to be better and if you asked him he'd be the first to agree.

They can certainly play better. However, I think some of it is due to the opposing team playing the run first most of the time.

While Dak looks legit, the other teams will play the run and hope for Dak to make mistakes

Said it last week too... this oline is easily the most overrated group in the league. The best at what exactly? I just don't see it.

And Wash was without their starting NT almost the entire game. We still couldn't consistently run the ball

On some of our better runs, #71 abused his guy. Martin uses quickness and leverage and makes it look easy. While the OL is not near the 2014 standard, it will improve as the O gets better and stretches the field. But to say that our guys can impose its will on the other team is foolish.

The run blocking has been inconsistent but the Morris TD run was blocked to perfection.

I am wondering if it is run blocking, or running back, that is the problem. Julius Elliott doesn't look like the all world he was reported to be.

Everyone was predicting ROY, record breaking year. etc. Two games in a I miss McFadden.

Looking back and some selected plays, this was #71's best game yet. He was a road-grader at times.
