That’s a mediocre starting safety tandem.
That list screams Thomas name.
That’s a mediocre starting safety tandem.
All young, cheap, and improving.
Don't diss the GOAT.
I've fell for this trap way too many times to fall for this again...see...
Patrick Bates...Raiders
Ken Swilling....Georgia Tech
Roy Williams....Cowboys
Big safeties that can't cover....No bueno![]()
I don't think Heath or Frazier are bad. Free safety is another story entirely.
I don't know why we're not talking about Ronnie Harrison more. He's absolutely in play at 19, and would fill a huge need.
He has many similarities to Roy (Safety) Williams.James is nothing like those guys
I think Woods could play either. He is much more FS, he could play SS but there may be some limitations. The Reid discussion got locked below but there was an interesting point in that thread.
Some people seem to think we are fine at SS and it's FS that we need. That might be the case, but what do people think Woods is? He's not a SS. Is he not a FS candidate? Or is he strictly a dime defensive back?
I'd like to see what he could do at FS and think he has a higher ceiling there than Heath or Frazier would have at SS IMO. But do people think we are fine at SS?
I am of the mind, bring in a legit SS and let Woods play FS.
James is a SS IMO. He can play FS but thats not where you want himA good player but not someone I'm trusting as my single high. Certainly not as a rookie.
that's not even an option and you know that.Derwin James. That is all.
i understand the issue with that, we already have that with WilsonI mean Frazier could play Sam in a pinch but I wouldn’t play him there on the reg. He would get mauled by a pulling guard or tackle...
hes not the best corner or safety and hes way undersized as a lbthat's not even an option and you know that.
i understand the issue with that, we already have that with Wilson
my thinking is Fraizer is far more athletic and is a box safety who loves to hit, having him on the edge blitzing and covering the TE could make use of his roster spot
whatever you have to do to get your best defenders on the field
maybe after the draft things will look much different
They aren’t “good” either.
Minkah is the FS that Dallas needs though, at least that skill set and range
Derwin is amazing but is nowhere near the same playing over the middle
he plays best at SS where he can cover TE or shut down runs outside / spy QB
of course when the coaching staff is fired next year he may be a great fit for the incoming DC
that's not even an option and you know that.
