I wonder what the Eagles, Commanders and Giants think about Dallas signing a young, dominant DT like Suh?

I wonder if they'd be glad we did or if they'd dread playing him for the next half decade or so?

Would they say, "Yes! Dallas just spent a lot on one defensive player!" or would they think, "Suh makes their entire defense different and with him collapsing the pocket, their DE's will get to the QB a lot more."?

Will they think Dallas spent a lot or will they think the whole defense just got a lot nastier?

Will they think this makes it more difficult for Dallas to bring in some lower priced free agents or will they think that with a young guy like Suh who has no motivation issues, his contract could be structured in such a way to not impact the cap nearly as much as someone who will only be good for a couple-three years?

I wonder...

I don't think any team wants to play Suh twice a year. He is, IMO, one of the few truly dominant Defensive players in the NFL today. Having said this, it is a real concern anytime you tie up a significant amount of cap long term. In fact, the only real justification for doing something like that is if you have a very good chance of bringing in a player and paying big time money to be the guy who can be the difference in winning a championship. Not just being a piece of the puzzle but actually being the guy who puts you over the top. That is my opinion.

I don't have a problem with either a Suh or Hardy on this DL.......needs some badass on there to develope a mean streak. D Lawrence is going to be great, but does not bring that 'tude thing. Yeah, need a Haley type of guy.... and draft another badman at #27.

I like the way you changed the perspective view to that our opponent.Its a good technique. .
Of course Suh in the middle would improve our defense. Would we then substrate
good quality players at other positions.

Sure but is that the best plan? If you extend Romo and Witten, who are much closer to the end then the beginning, there is a good chance you are paying for players who are no longer on the field.
