.@kjdenhartog @Schottey heard an interesting name #Lions /WR speculation. #Cowboys Austin / Ill ask. But hammy + $, = doesnt add up

I'd have to say the biggest issue with money would be on our end. Likely the Lions could come to terms with a new contract for Austin including new signing bonus money.

That being said, if I'm the Lions I go after a deal with the Browns.

I'd imagine if they're WR shopping they'll be looking at the kid in Cleveland first and foremost. I doubt very seriously they'd waste their time going after Austin who, surprise surprise, is having hamstring trouble yet again.

I don't want to trade Austin, till after we play the Lions if cowboys do trade Miles, but I doubt it too, but u never know if price is right: what would you trade Miles for? 2nd?

Really hard to believe this. The would be better going after Britt.

I would honestly trade miles for a 3rd or a 4th. It will give Harris, Williams, Beasley immediate action and let us go back and sign a veteran insurance.

That boy named Suh might need a fresh start somewhere.
To get Suh, we would have to give them Austin and probably a first rounder.

Besides, he's too much of a headache and chemistry is the best thing this DLine has going for it right now.

I'd be all over this for the right compensation. That's the issue, though, obviously.

Right now, I think we're not too far away from having Williams and Harris/Beasley being as effective a lineup as Williams/Austin. It'd hurt our depth, overall, but we could backfill that position in the draft next year anyway. No idea what the cap implications look like overall, though.

Williams (especially) and Harris are supposed to replace him, right? I'd have no problem with this if we can get something for him now instead of releasing him in the offseason for nothing.

I dont think we give up on austin this year.....but...we do start seriously looking. And getting the other guys in there......and if one stands out......then austin will have to go if he can't be on the field for 16 games playing at a high level.....this is the third year with these problems,,,,,i feel bad for him. But, as far as we know, the cowboys had a lead and were being cautious....or, They were telling austin. It's not serious dude. Ske sure your on the field.........

But im not ready to give up on him yet...

Ridiculous, Austin can't pass a physical and is no good to any team right now, with concerns over a 3rd hamstring injury which spells big trouble.

Austin in untradeable and the notion is down right laughable. Ridiculously large contract, annual hamstring issues, and average at best production for a few years now does not entice teams make a deal. If he was out on the street, yeah, many teams would be interested but I highly doubt you could find a single team willing to give up even a 7th for him right now.
