Lions Played Their Best Game Of Season and Dallas still won

Agree. Green Bay has more to prove at this point than we do.

1. Seeded higher

2. Already won a more recent SB

3. QB, even if hurt , is considered MVP candidate ( more pressure to perform)

4. Lambeau tradition to uphold, and Media darlings...

5. Didn't make it last year

Add yours.......

6. They never lose at home (until Sunday).

There's been a lot of talk about Rodgers will feast on the Cowboys' D. no one is discussing about how they will stop our offense. Clay Matthews cannot do this by himself...

I forget who said it, one of the defensive players. Said Dallas came out to amped up, was over running plays, resulting in the long TD, and drives. Same for offense, to hyped. But once they all settled down and started playing their game, they were fine.

And if you watch the game again, and look, that is evident. Plus, probably add in a bit of urgency in there in the 2nd half too, IMO.

6. 1-3 in last 4 playoff games

7. List twice to giants in playoffs @ Lambeau (I know, one with Favre, but still)

8. High powered offense in playoffs is never consistent.

Lions spent resources over the years on the D Line and it showed. Stafford OTOH appears to be lacking something, of course his O Line is nothing to write home about.

I get a Jeff George (play style not personality) vibe when watching Stafford. Has a cannon but plays reckless and doesn't have great pocket presence.

Haha. I mean if you read my complete post history I am a pretty positive guy. I must have been having a bad day that day. Forgot all about that post. Had no idea it became an 18 page thread, lol.

Just ignore "I'm a better fan than you are" posters like him and keep posting

I don't think there's any more pressure being seeded higher. They finished with the same record as the Cowboys.

They do go into this game as the team most expect to win but I don't really care about that either. These Cowboys do well under pressure.

I just want to get this game into the 4th quarter still tight. Then let's see who has the most heart.

The biggest advantage GB had IMO is that they have been in he playoffs before recently so they will play more "calm" than we will

I loved Romo's comments after the lions game "we kept our composure and that was why we won" that was spot on

Both teams will get gut punched in the game, the team that keeps its composure will be the victor

I actually think the Lions surprised the Cowboys with what they did. They came out on defense and did what they hadn't done all season with their blitzes and they ran plays on offense that they hadn't used all year either.

Dallas was ambushed in that first quarter. Then, they did what good teams do... they figured out what Detroit was doing and took the game back.

The Lions played their best game of the season? I would have thought their 19-7 thrashing of the Packers back in September would have qualified for that.

We have been battle tested there, so I have more confidence in that going our way this year , with this team , than I have had in a long time

All teams have excuses when they struggle.

The best I can give the Cowboys is a 50-50 shot but, you're right, that's more than I could say in a very long time.

Eh, I think maybe you could say that if the Cowboys didn't just play a playoff game. They've played, they've won. Those playoff jitters should be gone. At least they should be at the same level as any other team that's been there and done that.

I just don't want to see us lose the game in the first quarter. Survive those 15 minutes and I think the Packers are in for a dog fight the rest of the way.

Thats my concern, if GB had one of their fast starts coupled with one Dallas's slow starts, it would be scary.

So, since I'm wishing, I'm gonna hope for the opposite!

Im the same.. 50/50 at best.

If we were on a neutral field i'd feel different because of our ability to hold possession of the football.

Murry and Romo will get theirs.
Rodgers will get his.

I think the secret to this game and to our defense getting just enough stops for us to win is we can't be so intent on sacking Rodgers that we open lanes for Lacy...Do NOT let Lacy get going---we need to stuff him and gang tackle him, and even though the Packers are a great passing team, make them one dimensional.
