Lions vs Skins

Yeah they were horrible...but I also give our defensive line some credit for playing better then last year. Last year we were shutout on sacks in alot of games even against poor lines.

What really impresses me is that I don't even think Kitna had 100 yards passing. Oops he has 106...lol.

Bring on Dallas November 18...IF our defense plays like this and we are able to win time of possession...we can take em.

Some of us aren't impressed by your DLine. I'm personally impressed. :bang2:

You damn right it was. They made your front FOUR look like pro-bowlers.

Congrats on the win.

Fortunately for us, I do think our OLine is VERY VERY good against the passrush.

and what the Oline don't block Romo makes look silly anyways :D

We really should stop hating on the Commanders at the moment. They did something that im sure most on this board did'nt think they were capable of. Impressive. But lets be real, Romo is God.

Sorry skins.:laugh2:

I just hope the Skins and Cowboys keep good records so both games this year are high-stakes. I don't want to beat the Cowboys then have people say they had a letdown etc...no excuses. If we can't beat them at their best we don't deserve to win the East.

Seldom have I seen a team look sorrier on both sides of the football.

LOL

The Commanders aren't even in the same universe as the Cowboys.

You're going to lose....... badly......... and Romo is gonna steal your girlfriend.

Haha. We'll see in 6 weeks.

Commanders WRs .. ARL/Keenan McCardell, James Thrash
248 yards pasing

Lions WRs .. Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson
106 yards passing

Those that overrate the WR position ... head just asplode.

If my head asplodes I'll be...well, confused, becasue I have no idea what that means. :D

However, I don't think the receivers had much to do with the ability or inability to make plays today. It was much more a story of one team absolutely DOMINATING the trenches. Kitna had few chances to get his recievers the ball today, and Cambell had all day.

it's not hard to stop 3 guys w/ 7, the skins only rushed 4 guys on the line and kept everyone else back in coverage

Alot of posters are making excuses about why we won. Just give credit when it's due. We manhandled them, and it was equally the Lions looking so bad because of their own inabilities as well as the Skins executing.

That GB game next week is going to be a hot topic all week.

days like today are reasons why I believe Mike Martz should never get a head coaching position again.

Detroit is tailor made to get whipped by the skins. That is the kind of team washington would be 20 out of 20 times.

Right now I think, Dallas/Green Bay Washington/ ny and seattle/tb are the best teams in the nfc.

I am suprised by what I saw from seattle today. New York and washington are good teams imo, washington is very good.

Not as much, but some, yes. Our line hasn't been as spectacular as we would like to think, Romo has had to make some amazing plays back there in every game.

so true...your oline looks better because of romo's ability to move..

Detroit put up 36 on Oakland, 20 on Minnesota, 21 on Philadelphia, and 37 on Chicago. That is 4 pretty good defenses right there....why couldn't they figure out what isn't so hard?

Detroit put up 3 on Washington. The #1 passing offense in the NFL got held to 106 yards passing. Give credit where credit is due.

I didn't see any of those games, but I saw this game, and the Skins had 7 guys back in coverage on passing situations because they only rushed the 4 guys on the line, 9 times out of 10 the D should win that battle

I am giving credit where it is due, the Skins front 4 did great today against the pass, albeit against a very poor line, which allowed them to put so many guys in coverage

The Skins had an excellent gameplan today that worked even better than they figured most likely. Plus, Martz did what Martz always does, he abandoned the run. If you can get pressure with your front 4 and the rest of the guys drop into coverage AND you don't have to worry about the run? Well, that's a recipe for success.

Also, Campbell looked really good today.
