List of Cowboys Quarterbacks that were not shutout

List of a few qb’s that have suffered shutouts
Phillip Rivers
Eli Manning (5)
Tom Brady (2)
Big Ben (2)
Matt Ryan
Carson Palmer
Andy Dalton
Derek Carr
Peyton Manning
Those are just a few that come to mind
As you can see, some multiple super bowl winners suffered the same fate.
Take a deep breath men and let this play out. The off-season is just around the corner

I believe Peyton was shut out 0-41 in the playoffs at that. Funny thing is a dropped sure TD pass not only changes this narrative, but the entire outlook and flow of last Sundays game.

Since the last shutout (2003).

Vinny Testaverde
Drew Henson
Drew Bledsoe
Brad Johnson
Jon Kitna
Stephen McGee
Kyle Orton
Brandon Weeden
Matt Cassel
Kellen Moore

Most of these qbs were led by defensive-minded head coaches in the pre-video game offenses era. Garrett + Dak are a special type of ineptitude.

This is a who's who list of "who?"

Excellent point. Take away a blocked field goal and Olawale's drop and the Cowboys lead 10-0 in the first. The Colts now can't run Marlon Mack as much in catch-up mode. And the entire complexion of the game shifts.

Two poorly executed plays. That's all it takes in the NFL to ruin your day.

Or if the Colts LB didn’t drop the sure INT before our own FB dropped it like two plays before when Beasley sat in the zone and Dak threw that stinker.. it works both ways. Dak had 2-3 picks should have been picks that were dropped..

that block wasn't maher's fault by the way...they didn't block the defender and he cut through the gap.....

Yeah, that's true. But you get my point, right? If the QB gets the team in scoring position to avoid the shutout and breakdowns elsewhere cost the team the points, it's not cool to hang the shutout around the QB's neck. Not that fans bother to distinguish in those situations, but they ought to.

If Zeke wasn’t on the field, defenses aren’t stacking the box as much as they are, nor playing one deep safety, with no help over the top of guys like Cooper all game long either.

Not sure what your going on about either.. just because Zeke isn’t scoring, doesn’t mean anything. He is still averaging close to 200 all purpose yards during this streak..

nice try with your sarcastic comment though about how great Dak is.. I’m pretty sure Dak isn’t the only mediocre N QB that can hit a WR like Cooper down the sidelines against a banged up secondary with no help over the middle, against press coverage with a back up corners off the street.. but OK..

If Gurley isn't on the field the Rams suck. Tyreke Hill isn't on the field the Chiefs suck. What's your point? If we miss Zeke we suck? What team misses their best player and doesn't suck?

no, but he is the QB....he got all the accolades last week....so he gets all the blame this week.

If Dak played in the Staubach years and it was Staubach going against Dak, the Dak bots would take Dak over Roger.Have you seen Dak's first 34 game record and that preseason pass. "Dak all the way". "Trade Roger we've got Dak".. LMAO so true

I know they explained the since 2003 part, but 3 of the 5 you mentioned were starting QB's who were shut out (and another played in a game we were shut out in)

1970 - Morton: 0-38 vs. Cardinals (Staubach also played in this game)
1985 - White: 0-44 vs. Bears (Hogeboom also played this game)
1989 - Aikman: 0-28 vs. Saints
1989 - Aikman: 0-27 vs. Eagles (Walsh also played in this game)
1989 - Aikman: 0-15 vs. Giants
1991 - Aikman: 0-24 vs. Eagles
2000 - Aikman: 0-27 vs. Ravens
2000 - Anthony Wright: 0-31 vs. Titans
2003 - Carter: 0-16 vs. Buccaneers
2003 - Carter: 0-12 vs. Patriots
2018 - Prescott: 0-23 vs. Colts

God that Bears game still brings back bad memories (not that they all don't, but that one in particular) - we also got shut out by the Rams that year in the playoffs to end the season.
Yep you're correct. I was just showing that some people want to try and use stats to bash Dak.

How about also listing the total amount of games each of these QB’s started AND completed for the Cowboys?

Those numbers should render this post even sillier than it already is.

That's not how it actually works, though. He didn't get all the accolades last week, and he doesn't get all the blame this week. Accolades should go to players who deserve them when they deserve them. Same with the blame. It's not that hard to see who's making what mistakes when you watch a football game.
