And which coach is that or if you are sworn to secrecy which team is he on? Anything is possible certainly would not be a current HC of any team in the playoffs.

Who knows, there are probably a half dozen possibilities among the current NFL coaches, several in college and several among the "free agents" like McCarthy.

But no matter what it will take more than one business day to make the change, no matter what fans think.

Garrett needs to go, and I am reasonably certain he will. I am also reasonably certain Jones already knows who he will hire.

Exactly, its a tantrum. Its been a foregone conclusion that Garrett was gone since the Bears game but you actually have people losing their cookies because it didn't happen on the first possible day.

Most here are frustrated with the happenings around the Star this week, infact its a flat out clown show, but here is a list of the possible reasons this saga continues.

1. Stephen and Jerry are at odds on what to do with Jason
2. They're offering Jason a chance to stay as HC, but Jason isn't agreeing to the contract terms. ie...years and salary.
3. They're offering Jason a chance to stay as HC, but Jason isn't agreeing to the assistants the Jones' idiots want to bring.
4. They are trying to find a position within the organization that both sides can agree too.
5. Jerry and Stephen are scared Garrett will leave and go to the Giants.
6. All 3 (Jerry, Stephen, and Jason) have no idea what they are doing.

what say you?
or is there some other realistic scenario that's playing out?

7. They expected to be in the playoffs. They expected to beat the Eagles. And when that didn't happen, they expected to beat Washington and for the Eagles to lose. Now they have no plan. Jerry is in a funk. And nobody knows what to do.

Well, looking back on JJ's process for firing coaches, it took a lot less then 120 characters as you say to fire Tom Landry AND Jimmy Johnson...this butter cup HC isn't even in the same league as those 2 I mentioned, and yet......the wait continues.

Jerry spent months negotiating the purchase of the team from Bum Bright and Bright spent that entire time telling Jerry he would fire Landry. Landry knew he was gone that entire time but Bright chickened out at the last minute and didn't do it.

Landry absolutely deserves to be in the HOF and he is the guy I grew up watching, but he was also 3-13 in the previous season after two losing seasons before that. He was leaving at that point no matter who bought the team.

A. They are waiting to watch the Baylor vs Georgia game.
B. They are waiting until Baltimore's season is over
C. It's either A or B....

You know who else is scared? I'm not even joking here. Every Giants fan to a man. IMO the probable reason is they are working out a short term extension with Garrett.

This option explains it all.

I bet the Giants aren't even interested in Garrett ., It's a bluff so that Jerry signs garrett's extension .

JG's record speaks for itself , not even the Giants want that garbage .
This.

But again... IF by some miracle he gets signed, that will expose jerry to the fullest .

The answer is obvious.

Will McClay hasn't made his decision yet.
Why would the player development assistant director of football operations for disabled american football ever get to make that call?

^ this is so insane, this might be jerry's reason.

Its been three days and two of them have been holidays. It took two days to fire Chan Gailey and this situation is ten times more complicated.

But everyone can continue freaking out.
Don't know why it's more complicated. Gailey took us to the playoffs 2 years in a roll something Garrett's never done.

If garrett goes to NYC and he is terrible ., That will prove that jerry's experiment was the worst decade long decision an NFL gm did in the history of the NFL .

Jerry knows garrett is garbage, and wants to make garrett stay so this isn't proved elsewhere.
So you're saying that it doesn't matter what Garrett does in NY. Jerry looks bad regardless. lol

If our Special Teams was even average this year, we make the playoffs.
That can't be stressed enough. I've never seen ST play that bad in my life our starting field position was beyond horrendous.

7. They're simply waiting for his contract to expire since there's no reason not to .

Doubtful.

That would hinder his ability to seek work elsewhere and that is just not how you treat someone who you've employed for over 10 years. Coaches who would be interested pay attention to stuff like that.
