Listening to WIP Philadelphia tonight

They are screaming how there is not a call on the Cowboys because Goeddert's helmet came off.

To be fair, they have a point with that one. On that play, no one talks about Woods helmet to helmet hit on him that popped Goeddert's helmet up.

True. My immediate reaction to that play wasn't just the penalty, it was that it was horrible technique from Woods and would likely have allowed a critical touchdown. Hopefully Woods is a quality backup to Earl Thomas next year, he is way too inconsistent for my tastes.

I could not help myself. had to find out what they are saying.

1. The opening kickoff was an absolute joke. Got to admit - if it were the other way around, I'd be very upset also.

2. The Dallas Goeddert "Swim Move" was a BS call. They are screaming how there is not a call on the Cowboys because Goeddert's helmet came off.

3. Michael Bennett was an absolute beast. He had a great game.

4. Carson Wentz is regressing. Sounds like fans of another quarterback that played in AT&T Stadium tonight.

5. Dallas should have scored 40 points on the Eagles. They recognize Prescott is a joke. They thought Gallop could have had a big game like Cooper if Prescott did not over throw him three times.

6. This officiating crew needs to be reprimanded tomorrow. The host did point out several times that Dallas had 11 penalties for 111 yards.

7. The biggest issue for the Philly defense is the inability to get off the field on 3rd down. It has plagued them all season long.

8. The WIP Host said the first half of today's game was the worst in Eagles' history.

9. With the Rams only scoring 6 points tonight, they will be playing angry next week.
Hey Philly fans, want some cheese with that wine?

The call on Goedert really didn't hurt them since they scored later on that drive.

I will admit that opening kick off call was wrong. Philly should have gotten the ball. Eagles fans have every right to be upset about that one.

If Dak is a joke, he is an awfully successful one.
I'll laugh at 455 yards, 3 TDs, 2 Int's and absolute money and leadership in 4th qtr and overtime. I'll take that joke any day. Dak isn't perfect but I was most impressed with his poise, leadership and clutch play to win the game. That overtime drive of 8 minutes was a thing of beauty.

Yep, I would be upset if I was an Eagles' fan. they did get robbed on that one. I don't feel too bad cuz Dallas has been robbed by the refs a lot as well. The one thing I will say tho is that was the first play of the game. They had 4 quarters and 8 more minutes to recover from that play. Can't cry too much when it's the first play of the game. Now if that was the overtime kickoff then they seriously got robbed of the game. But not the opening kickoff.

It looks like he barely even touched his helmet. That thing was popping off every time he got tackled so it’s tough to say. Either way that was a piss poor effort at a tackle and the pass interference call was bad, but they scored anyway on that drive so it didn’t exactly cost them points.

Nice rationalization.

Yet if those same calls/non-calls happened to the Cowboys this board would be on a 72 hour meltdown and weeping would short circuit the keyboards of 75% of our fans. There would be aluminum foil shortages from all the conspiracy theorists going on red alert.

I listened to WIP (94.1) and Fanatic (97.5) and not one of them gave Dak credit. They feel Eagles missed on getting Cooper.

Philly had a goose egg on the scoreboard at halftime. Wentz’s “nonexistent run game” consisted of 3 carries for 30 yards at the half (Josh Adams).

So no, it wasn’t the run game that was Philly’s problem. It was their average QB who couldn’t convert a 3rd down to save his life.

Dak, by the way, passed for 23 first downs.

Wentz passed for 12.

What is so bad about that opening kickoff? I missed it.They said it was a fumble right, but just couldn't find any proof on who recovered it? Like... Was there clear proof that Philly had recovered it or what?

I just find holding onto that a bit ridiculous unless I'm missing something which I'm perfectly willing to accept if I am.

You sound like an undercover Eagle fan.
1. The refs missed calls on BOTH sides of the ball.

2. Dak needs a QB coach to help work on his technique but he is NOT a joke. You don't win 30 games in your first 3 years without knowing how to play.

3. Dak is 4-2 vs the Eagle since he entered the league. One more time, he's 4-2 with one of the losers coming in game 16 of 2016 when we rested our starters. So if he's a joke what does that make their team?

4. Some of you fans are absolutely pathetic. If you don't like what you're seeing change the team you cheer for.

It was pretty bad. If the situation were reversed, Cowboys fans would all be livid.

Jourdan Lewis clearly fumbled and Philly recovered. Refs called it down by contact. Philly challenged. The replay showed a pile of 3 Eagles around the ball and 1 of them came away with it... but the refs ruled that it wasn’t a “clear recovery” so Dallas kept the ball.

I guess if there’s any Cowboys players anywhere near the ball, they don’t consider it a “clear recovery.” We caught a huge break.
