Greetings Cowboy Fans ...nothing but respect to you all. I haven't spoken to any of you in a while and I thought I'd chime-in to give you an update on my outlook for this season; now that Michael Vick is the starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles.

On my home sight and a neutral sight where I am a Moderator, I made it clear right from the beginning Of the off-season through to the beginning of the regular season, that I had a problem with trading McNabb without securing a number one quarterback. I felt quite frustrated and of course helpless to do anything but express my concern with my brother fan-base. To my surprise, many of my fanbase spoke extremely hig about Kolb and his potential to lead the Eagles to a sucessful year and post season. I actually clashed with everyone on that notion. While I do do think that Kolb is a very werthy backup QB with the potential to improve his experience in the NFL, I do not think, nor did I ever believe that Kolb was ready make the transition to number one QB at this time. I wish that Kolb gets healthy soon and is ready to do whatever He can for the Eagles if and when he is called into action.

That brings me to Michael Vick ...whom I feel was the only logical choice with McNabb now in Washington. My take on why Andy Reid took so long to make the decision to promote Vick into the number one spot is public opinion. I don;t feel that Andy wanted the media distraction of having the press exploit the notion of having a convicted person move to the top position of the Philadelphia Eagles QB roster. A sudden move like that under any other circumstances could have brought down a media hurircane and create some serious distraction within the team. I think (and I've been wrong before) that Andy Reid was waiting for Kolb to either excell or demonstrate that he was incapable Of holding down the top spot. Kolb got hurt, which is a risk for any QB. This incident forced Andy's hand, yet, he reluctantly held on to the notion that Kolb would remain his number one QB. ESPN, sports analyst, many more Eagle fans started to realize the powerhouse that is Vick, during his playtime in the Greenbay game, and most recent win. While many believe that the Vick transition came from the top, but I think that the series of things that occurred gave Andy an opportunity to make his move.

How do I feel about the season ...it's early and I don;t believe that any team can forecast their winning rate. But I feel a whole helleva lot better knowing that Vick is not only back to form, but he is even better than he was before. My only concern now is whether or not Andy Reid and the Eagles GM will do the right thing during the off-season (if Vick ocntinues to play at this level or better). I Hope they learned their lesson abOut tossing Out the baby with the bath water!

Question ...how do the Cowboy Zoners feel about the Cowboy;s chances this regular season?

I wish the Cowboys well this season.

Personally, I think there will be a time we will look back at this start and laugh.

I think the Cowboys will get it together in a big way.

The Philly papers say the only reason Vick is starting is because of the O-line, Detroit sacked him 6 times last week and they said if Kolb was there it would have been 12.

Your assessment comes without foundation. Does that mean that you feel Kolb is an NFL QB; if not, which do you feel poses the greater threat for opponent teams?

Vick is a better runner than Kolb....but is he really a better passer?

That's true, but it's going to be difficualt to compare the two with Kolb recovering from a concussion on the bench. Look, Vick isn't a halh bad passer ...if Kolb turns Out to be a better passer, that's a good thing. Right?

Point blank, your team probably is not a Super Bowl team. Maybe not a playoff team. The best thing to do would have been stick with Kolb this year and let him take his lumps, fix the O-line and a few defensive spots in the offseason, and then shoot for the stars in 2011.

The Eagles may win two or three more games with Vick, but it will certainly stunt the development of Kolb, who is their future.

Hey PT,

I think Wade's time here is coming to a end shortly, who do you think comes in?

It always perplexes me how fans (not just Cowboy fans ...Eagle fans, Giants fans ...fans in general) can always rush to the term Superbowl at this early juncture in the regulars season. Let's keep the discussion in perspective here. we're simply talking about winning games at this point; and who what quarterback gives our teams a better chance of accomplishing that objective. Nobody is trying to put the cart before the horse.

Now, about being the Eagles future. He may very well be the future for an NFL team, but Not necessarily the Eagles. Again, the future is based on what happens during contract renewal time in the office season. I'm looking at this from a game-by-game perspective and hope Vick can lead the team better than McNabb .

That's all this is about right now. To prove that point, I'll admit that I've always felt that the COwboy's have a better shot at the post season than the Eagles. Albeit, that perspective can change, but as far as I'm concerned it Hasn't!

that can't happen fast enough for me, never wanted him hired in the first place, he always starts with a bang every team he's coached and then fizzles out after that.

If Dallas loses today, Fire that Pillbury doughboy wade Phillips Monday, Bring Cowher or Reeves in, name Dave Campo defensive coordinator, and let Cowher or Reeves run the damn show...

Sounds good on paper. But Jerry won't do that. It's not his style. If we lose today, there may be some changes, but Wade and Garret will probably finish the season. If we start 0-8, Wade will be fired and Garret will be interum HC. (which could suck because if we happen to get hot, he will be the permanent HC next year).

how about 54% completion percentage in Nine years, have you not watched him in Atlanta???

Philly isn't going anywhere this year, they've cleared out age and are rebuilding, Dallas isn't going anywhere by the looks of things either, Kolb is your future, he needs the work, he's bided his time long enough behins McNabb, Vick beat Detroit, big deal...who doesn't beat detroit???

Interesting perspective, I've heard talk abOut the Wade bubble. I don't know ...

If Wade retires his whistle, I'm sure Mr. Jerry Jones will not spare any expense in replacing Wade with a top-notched HC ...perhaps COwher, or Chucky, or maybe a blast from the past coach that is currently a Sports Analyst along side of Howie, Michael and TB).

I think Jerry is capable of bring-in the best in HCs.

Not so fast on the Detroit thing. I'm not sure we can beat anyone right about now.

Yeah, you're right.....but we beat ourselves every week though.. guaranteed win next week, as wade Phillips says, it's a bye week, so that counts as a victory

Sure you could be right! But you could be wrong. Abiout those stats ...we're talking about Vick versus Kolb passing comparison with only Vicks experience in the past at ATL. Give this a chance to develop ...Kolb has only started one game this year; that's not Vick's fault. Whenevr Kolb has another opportunity, then we'll start comparing. Besides, the passing game is only one way to splace point onto the scoreboard.

He is a hybrid. Reid should be gone too. Years ago as a matter of fact.

I'm not happy he is back. The guy makes me sick and in a fair life, he would never be able to prosper again.

But, life is never fair.
