The Washington Post's Commanders blog believes a Dre Bly deal to Washington is still in play, and it could involve the team's No. 6 overall pick.

Denver has destroyed Washington in a few previous trades. In this scenario, Denver would send Bly, their first-round pick, a mid-round pick and change for the No. 6 overall pick. Shawn Springs would then be moved from Washington. It appears the two sides will continue to talk. Mar. 6 - 6:21 pm et

I wonder why the skins want bly soooo bad??? but to give up the #6 pick?...Bly aint THATTTT good..:laugh2:

its not like they would be giving up the 6th overall just for Bly.I mean did you even read what you posted above?

Just to clear this up (because the post was a little less than clear), the proposed trade would be:

Washington gets:

1. Dre Bly.
2. Denver's 1st round pick (#21).
3. A "midround" pick from Denver.
4. Some "change."

Denver gets:

1. Shawn Springs
2. Washington's 1st round pick (#6).

yes sir, i did, but why would you give up #6...bly isnt that good..Commanders are in much bigger need than an average CB...

Well, they could technically get another starting corner and someone like Carriker perhaps, but I don't see that as an upside to potentially losing out on an elite DE like Adams or someone like Branch.

I think the deal is pretty fair. They're trading down from pick #6 to #21 and giving up Shawn Springs for Bly, a midround pick, and whatever "change" means.

It all depends on if you think Bly is a better option than Springs.

They would swap picks. Washington gives 6th Denver gives them their first. Denver must laugh :lmao2: everytime washington calls.

For those wondering, Denver picks 21st in the first round.

EDIT: I see that theogt beat me to it.

You saying that Bly "isnt that good" means that hes somewhat good, and somewhat good is better than being "average" dont ya think?

As for the trade, i give it a 65/35 chance of it happening because of the restructuring of players contracts we've recently done and cuz the rumor just wont die down.

Wow, so Denver gets at least as good a corner and a chance at the #6 pick for basically a mid-rounder?

The draft value chart says it's about 800 points to move up from #21 to #6. Denver's 3rd rounder is worth about 165.

That's insane.

Thank the heavens the Skins are in our division. :lmao:

Right, it depends on what "midrounder" means, what "and change" means, and how much better you think Bly is than Springs.

Well, change is usually some spare part, a third is as high as a "midround" pick can be in a seven-round draft, and Bly isn't any better than Springs IMO.

When the Skins got Springs I laughed, because Springs got burned a lot his last year in Seattle. But I was wrong about him -- he's been very solid and then some in Washington.

But I can't wait to read Skins fans talking about how this is a great deal because Bly wants to be a Skin while Springs doesn't -- just like with Bailey. :lmao:

This the same thing that the Commanders do over and over and over...every year!

New players, no continuity...loss of draft picks, a damn good 6th...! And, the also get a player for player trade?

No wonder they are where they are?

I think it was posted on the other thread involving our possible trade with Denver. But what we've been hearing comes from a Washington Post writer.....name is Jason La Confora.

[FONT=Times New Roman, times, serif]"So, I still think there is a very good chance we see Bly come to DC, along with Denver's first-round pick, and second- and/or third-round pick, plus maybe a conditional late round pick, in exchange for the 6th overall pick."

Noone really knows whats being offered for sure yet, but thats the word on the street.

Oh good, being a fool, I thought perhaps the other poster actually knew what he was talking about.
