Local affiliate DFW ESPN has leaked to a source Falcons opening Sun Nite with Cowboys or Saints

Good Cowboys Sunday night.
I have Yankee vs Ranger tickets for Sunday afternoon.

They are going to want ratings on the opening Sunday night and would like to show off the new stadium. Do you give that game to a team who holds 8 out of the top 10 most viewed Sunday night games ever or do you give it to a team that nobody gives a **** about outside of Louisiana?

Any hotel recommendations in Atlanta?
Ratings are all that matters which is why it makes sense for the Cowboys to have the game. Any other reason, no. IMO, you still should have your biggest rival break in that stadium.

Id rather not. I think our defense will grow as the year goes on and Id prefer not face a high octane offense right out of the gates. That said we will run it down thier throats.

This is exactly what I've been hoping for. I'm going to the Falcons game and I'm ready to get my hotel down the street reseved. I'll get the tickets later.

I guess we'll know tonight by about 8:10.

The NFL schedule won't be released tonight, it's Thursday, according to reports.

Get the Falcon's early, before they're hitting on all cylinders! Get the Falcons early, while the fallout from the monumental collapse still weighs on their minds! Get the Falcons early, and you stand a good chance of beating them!

Yes. I've went almost all day thinking today was Thursday:mad::mad::mad:

Man I'm wanting this schedule so I can make my plans for Atlanta.

We stand a good chance of beating anyone anywhere anytime. We're good.

That would make 6 of our last 7 games night games.

I'm seriously sick of that crap.

If it's between the Cowboys and the Saints playing the Falcons on opening Sunday Night the decision for the league is a no-brainer. The Saints are a division rival but of course no team has the cache or exposure that the Cowboys do, and given the weak tv ratings last year for games that didn't involve the Cowboys the league will obviously want to start on a strong note.

Wonder how the Falcons come out this season after their complete collapse in the SB. They may not be the same team. Hard to recover from a loss like that.

Excellent point. Teams that lose the Super Bowl frequently regress significantly the following season. Just look at what happened to Carolina last year. And the Falcons Super Bowl loss was the most devastating in history. I'm very interested to see how they respond to it.

While I'm expecting 6-10 season, I do think we beat Atlanta.

Theres no way that SB loss doesn't leave permanent mental damage.

Yeah but they know nobody is going to watch the Saints, Panthers nor the Buccaneers. NFL is a money business and they know who the money team is.
