RELEASED Logan Wilson waived

I liked Wilson coming out of college but clearly he has fallen off a cliff career wise. They should have seen that when the Bengals demoted him to a backup role.

Not upset at all. Just pointing it out to you in case you might have the intestinal fortitude to change. But I highly doubt that you do.
To change what? You have yet to say anything positive about this trade. So you agree with me.

That was basically flushing a 7th-round pick down the toilet. I know some people have the “it’s just a 7th-rounder” mindset, but to me, a draft pick is a draft pick. Sure, the odds of hitting on a player in the 7th are lower.....but you never know.

Especially because it's not hard to find a backup LB who gets more playing time than he did in the 7th round.

Not really newsworthy, in my opinion, a whole bunch coming down the pipe real soon,

Maybe it's time for the mods to pin Dallas Cowboy player movement and transactions at the top until after the draft,

we can put all cuts and additions and what not up there,

because it's going to start becoming ridiculous to have a separate thread for every release, especially for players that we already know are going to be released, probably the whole entire linebacker core is a threat to be released, outside of Overshown, Liafu might make it.. James gets 2nd chance?

But I expect Sanborn and Murray to be gone as well,

None of them have big cap hits none of them have guaranteed money, I expected all three of these guys who basically were middle linebackers to be replaced with Christian Parker's type of guys.

So yeah,

there's about to be a lot of these transactions and these small potato nonsurprise guys don't deserve their own threads, It doesn't move the needle...

A 7th rnd pick isn’t something to stress about
True, but culture wise I wouldn't accept this result.

The draft should always be looked at challenging your scout team to find the next promising and contributing player to the squad.

Resist letting your culture diminish by downgrading any draft pick.

This is a black mark on Schotty, and he has to own it along with Jones and McClay.

It shouldn't be about the round of the pick, but the initial decision making that resulted in the consequences after.

Another complete waste of resources.

Add it to Trey Lance.

Jonathan Mingo (to this point in time).

Kenneth Murray.

Kair Elam.
Another example of bad culture on display. You can't do this crap and get away with it year after year in the a competitive league where everyone is trying to eat your lunch.

That’s trades though. Eagles fail on trades but they keep going. You are gonna fail especially on trades. It sucks but I hope they keep doing it.
I won't belittle the trade. I just can't accept the decision making process that led to the trade and then the execution of the decision after when Wilson got into the building.

How screwed up was this Wilson situation? I am surprised that the coaching staff, McClay and the Jones are not being pasted to the wall over this one by the media.

With all that was messaged about Wilson he should have made a bigger dent on the organization than what we saw.

Getting rid of defensive players at this point baffles me.

Sure they were awful playing under Uberpuss but now that would have been rectified playing under Parker.

Judging by Parkers experience, charisma, innovation, and youth, its a forgone conclusion that last seasons defense would have been top 12.

Everyone agreed a 7th rounder was a great trade for Logan. How much do you think they should get for a 7th rounder?

They would have held on to him through training camp if his contract was 1.5M instead of 6.5M.

And Murray hasn't been waived yet? Is he still on the team?

Logan was bad before we got him. No amount of coaching was going to grow him new legs
