Lol Channing Crowder!!!

He was obviously joking. The truth is that all the players hate the idea of going to London to play a game there, they just don't want to say it out loud. This is his idea of saying the idea sucks without getting on Goodel's radar.

He wasn't inviting anything except a few chuckles, sarcasm just doesn't come across well in print and the idiot reporters are making it out to seem like he's just stupid to get more attention.

Well, Crowder was basically inviting a flood of "dumb Yank" jokes.

Then again, if a Brit said he didn't know where New York City was. I wouldn't be too upset.

I think, some Brits don't have maps, and we should use the education system in South Africa, like, such as...the Iraq.

Somehow, this is turning into a crazy thread.

I'd love to see Channing get on a loudspeaker ala WWE style and ask, "Where's London?" to the crowd.

And this guy went to college. Not only college but a major university. There is certainly something wrong with the academic system in place with college athletes,

"He's blacks, so he cant be from London."

His family must be ashamed. Sad part is, he make more money then probbably 98% of us who post on this site.:banghead:

well, they did say 1/5th of students in school can't locate the US on a map....ithink their likelihood of locating a small dot call London even less likely. I remember in HS, we did a survey to find out who knew that the capital of new york, we'd get weird answers all the time.

i'm surprised that he didn't think london spoke english. i thought all americans thought the entire world speaks english for their benefit. that should be the default answer.

I can't tell if he is joking or not.....i would like to think he is. but, if he was serious it wouldn't shock me too much. I have been going to school for a while now and i've had to teach classes part time for a few years. I was utterly shocked at first by students' lack of awareness regarding, geography, world affairs/politics, etc...Not all mind you, but the percentages are a little staggering.

I can not tell you how many students think Africa is a 'country' and the people there speak 'African'. A good portion of them cannot locate more than two or three countries on a world map.

What was a little disturbing to me was the fact that when i asked them why they are not more aware of whats going on in the world since they have so many resources at their finger tips to do so if they chose, they flat out tell me that "they don't care" and that "it doensn't affect their everyday lives one bit".

Why is he dumb? Cause he didn't know where a foreign city was?

I bet you can't locate Kaoshiung on the map either.

Sorry not everyone is so anglo-centric.

You tell me what country it's in and I could

Man, get a sense of humor, geez.

I'll give him the benefit of doubt and say he was joking.

We should play how many famous Black Englishmen can you name (no cheating).

Osi
Luol Deng (NBA)
Darren Bent (EPL)
The guy from Bloc Party (band)
Ashley Cole (EPL)
Theo Walcott (EPL)
Seal (singer)

Those are the only ones I know off the top of my head.

Let me get this straight....the NFL Europe folded and THIS is a good idea?
