People were saying all season that this offense takes a season to learn, but no one really wanted to listen to it.

If by people - you mean everyone - and by noone - you mean Commanders fans - this is spot on. We heard all offseason how this offense was basically the same, the terminology was the same, Saunders and Gibbs do the same things, there won't be any adjustment time....blah blah blah.

I for one am thrilled.

I heard this as well. I also recall reading a Tommy Tuberville quote from back when Campbell was at Auburn along the lines of "We'd have to run a high school offense for him to fully comprehend it."

Are you sure Tuberville wasn't referring to himself? :D

How many first round picks do you think the Commanders would give Dallas for the unexpendable Tony Romo? I'd trade him for 6 maybe as low as 5.;)

Not to argue...well yes it is to argue somewhat.

I heard all offseason and preseason about how Saunders playbook was so huge and they were only using part of it (the famous 2%) in preseason and that was why they looked terrible in preseason.

Eitherway it has been said many times and not just on this site that his (saunders system) would be difficult to grasp. I have even seen blurbs on the sports shows where brunelle was saying pretty much the same thing, that they are just now getting a grip on it.

So I am not sure who was saying the offense was the same and it would be no adjustment time, unless it was some skins fans that were clearly super homers even among skins fans.

The skins fans touting it as nearly identical don't post here anymore by choice, lol.

Guys lets not forget Cambell isnt a rookie either...he's been in the system for 2 seasons already...Dont act like He's getting throwin to the worlves off the bat...

You either can play or not... ANd fact is Romo outplayed Henson sice last year...And He showed potential in pre-season.

Campbell didnt show anything in pre-season.. He's not even mobile, He doesnt have a very good long ball..He's just big and strong...Decent arm.

Since when has Saunders been in Washington for 2 years?

Just a few weeks ago on sportstalk 980 here in the DC area Moss and (I believe) Portis were asked about Campbell, and they both said that Brunell was the man for the job and Campbell was not ready. On Tuesday morning you would have thought they won the superbowl. Monday doom and gloom - not a Commander in sight (great day for me). Tuesday the sun was shining and everything is righted.
