:hammer: Parcells > Phillips any day

wow, i would have to think about that for a minute. Neither was on my wish list and I could not get Parcells out of town fast enough but Wade is just all wrong.

Sorry, I disagree.

IMO, BP was respected by most of the players, instilled a bit of fear in the players, and at least got the team with less talent - i.e., Q Carter, Hambrick - into the playoffs.

No, BP didn't get us deep into the playoffs, but he did help build a good foundation and players were accountable.

IMO, the players played hard.

Being one of the most penalized teams during his tenure...we were held accountable under him? Really?

and no one was above the head coach. Not the owner. the head coach.

many here thought that was a power move by a jerk.

Maybe some will see what we are missing now. Organization and team first.....your personal nonsense second. Your a football player, play football.

Parcells and many coaches like him, bellichick, vermeil, schottenheimer, coughlin, cowher, holmgren, fisher...they can all handle these kinds of situations.....they may not win but they can handle these situations because they train their teams in that mode.

That's why they trashed him when he was gone.

Most of the same foundation we have here today?

Who trashed him? They still here or in the NFL?

Our foundation is fine. Our coaching is not. That foundation was 13-3 last season. Our coach ate the cheese.

Wow-all these Parcells-apologists and TO-haters are really mystifying.

I agree, and Phillips style works very short term. He's proved it more than once.

I don't blame Jerry Jones one bit for ripping the players. It would have been even better if he would've made Wade, Garrett, and Stewart stand in the corner with big pointy dunce hats on while he did it.

These coaches have more talent to work with than any other coaching staff in the NFL and the team looks like a bunch of retards week in and week out. I am disgusted at the obvious lack of intelligent preparation that we are seeing on a weekly basis. It was way funner to watch the '89 Cowboys... because they played their butts off. The "studs" on this team don't believe in the coaching staff... I know how they feel. And to think I was happy that we hired Wade... I did assume that he would be the primary defensive "mind" on this team. Way to go fatman and robin.

I'll rant some more in a while:banghead:

Jerry should just put on the whistle and headsets next week. It's really what he wants.

Firing a coach that is 13-3 last year and has shown he can get it done sounds insane to me.

We didn't have our starting All Pro QB who also has this offense built around him. Our starting CBs were out. You guys shouldn't be surprised this happened esp with the way it started getting behind that quickly that far.

I can understand the drop in play because of the injuries to our key players.

But the penalties and mistakes were present with them in the line up even as it is with the "stars" out of the line up.

That is the manifestation of a terribly coached team. There's a reason young teams like Atlanta are doing well. And that's because they stress the basics - running the football, don't make stupid mistakes and don't turn over the football.

It's almost as if this team is so enamored with its stars making the plays that it doesn't stress fundamental football.

That's what bothers me more than the injuries. This team displays a lack of discipline. And that's something you can't overcome even if you have a team at full strength.

It's just sad the the owner has to do this because the head coach won't. It's more sad that the owner won't fix that problem by replacing the head coach.

would Red even accept the HC job at this point? if he's so "smart" as everyone has said, he wants no part of this train wreck: NO I'm not saying he deserves a shot, just saying he's the default option...........

All but one of our starting CB's played today though. Henry played. Hamlin played. Williams played. So no excuse from the secondary.

I hope that isnt true.

Me too, but knowing Jerry it is very true.

theebs;2355746 said:
If he is in there scolding the team then this thing is even more off the road than I even think it is.
Agreed. But lets not kid ourselves, Wade this week said it was up to Jerry whether Tony started or not. Jerry is basically Co-head coach folks, this is bad.

the good thing is the fair weather fans will thin out.
yup, that will be nice.

If you want to summarize our entire defense the past 3 years check the Rams first big TD. Play action, absolutely no pass rush out of anyone besides 94, Henry and Roy chasing, TD Rams.
don't forget RW pointing at someone else, that's always the best part.
