Lombardi: NFL admits call against Butler was wrong

Half of your post is not correct.

On football games the line will rise or fall depending on the line..to keep close to 50% betting on each side. This is supposing for sake of discussion that a Vegas entity is playing it straight up...honest. (A dubious assumption, I know!)

There certainly are some types of wagers where Vegas loses, but on this kind of gamble Vegas can't really lose.

But I'm not a gambling man myself...If someone wants to correct me...feel free.

uh huh. Lombardi should shut up then and stop trying to vindicate himself publicly--even if he's telling the truth. I don't use Twitter. Can someone tweet that to him?
You can't put the lid on the truth for long. Eventually others will talk and will vindicate Lombardi. He knows this.

You are assuming the game continues the way it did. At best, that call cost us a FG. We lost by three points (assuming rest of game plays out the same way). You do the math.

It would have continued to go the way it did and when the game was on the line Rodgers would have still beaten us. I did the math going into the game and knew we couldn't out score them if both teams scored over 30.

Maybe... but why taint it with such an obscure and controversial call? Third straight questionable call against the cowboys in three consecutive playoff games.

We had a controversial call go in our favor against Detroit in 2014 that helped us win that playoff game. What was the 3 questionable calls against us in playoff games?

I believe Lombardi but I don't have as much faith in anyone publicly vindicating him. And an anonymous quote siding with him against the League will carry only so much weight. Then again, anonymous sources carry a lot of weight with the public for whatever reason.

We were the beneficiary of a questionable call against Detroit...the non-called interference.

It's not all-anti Cowboys. But there does seem to be a definite pecking order of teams the league routinely favors.

I think the bigger issue is gambling...and perhaps mob connections to a few select teams such as Pittsburgh...and New England

We had a controversial call go in our favor against Detroit in 2014 that helped us win that playoff game. What was the 3 questionable calls against us in playoff games?

In this game alone, the Butler penalty was likely 7 points. The Witten non-call was likely 4 points. And the blatant hold on Rodgers throw at the end was 3 points.

There's a cozy 14-points worth of horrific calls.

And Dez caught it, too. That was painfully obvious no matter what kind of cockamamie rules manipulations are attempted.

Dez was a no catch under the RULE and the NFL confirmed it.

I'm thoroughly convinced the NBA is rigged, which is why I no longer watch it. The NFL under Blandino is suspicious, too.

Why would you ever hire a guy to be head of officiating if he's never officiated a game in his lifetime? No organization would do that. There's got to be a reason. What could possibly be that reason?

Dez was a no catch under the RULE and the NFL confirmed it.

Complete control, switched hands with the ball from right to left, three feet down, football move, everything. It was a catch.

If he stretched the ball over the goal line, it would have been a TD. That has been ruled a catch countless times in other games after review. Over and over and over.

It only makes sense in Blandino's world.

Blandino spent four years as an instant replay official and was selected to work two Super Bowls and two conference championships. He managed the NFL’s instant replay program from 2003 to 2007, including overseeing the system’s upgrade to high-definition equipment in 2007. From 2007 to 2009, he was director of officiating, the No. 2 position in the Officiating Department, under Mike Pereira. His expertise is with replay and has devoted 20 years to replay. This is all he does unlike on the field officials who only officiate part time. They don't eat, sleep and **** officiating.

You should probably watch the video. Irving is getting pancaked by a guy in front of him (and to the right). The guy everyone is all bothered about just slid right off as Irving went by.

He didn't complete the process, the ball came loose after contacting the ground.

I don't think the outcome of every game is rigged in the NFL, but it is becoming quite obvious that with all the subjective holding rules (both offensive and defensive) it is becoming increasingly easier to keep games close. Just look at our game vs the Vikings as proof. With unbiased officiating, we blow them out.

I am truly on the verge of giving up the NFL for good. I don't watch WWE and I don't need a rigged NFL.

My point is we overcame it and tied the game late and couldn't stop Rodgers with the game on the line. No one was making a big a deal about that penalty until the NFL confirmed it was a bad call, now all of a sudden some think it cost us the game. lol It gave some just the excuse they were looking for.

Everyone was making a big deal of it before the NFL admitted the mistake. Where have you been? You are delusional.
