No i have NOT watched a lot of college football aside from Texas and TCU being my teams to follow and the fact that Alabama is so much better then everyone else , meh :)

Regardless with that oline he will be their next David Carr LOL

Yeah Eli's got too much pride to be a backup on the Dallas Cowboys...

Although I will say this he looks like a shell of himself, Dak's probably the better player at this point for sure.

The QB is NY is cautious and indecisive in his waning years.
And his oline is truly awful.

Engram has been out all season. But what you see in NY actually supports what is happening here in Dallas. In NYC they have a great back and an all world #1 WR. The QB has great skill position players around him.

And here is the important part:

BUT NONE OF IT MATTERS IF YOUR OLINE CANT BLOCK

Now the Dallas line isnt as bad as NY, but its not much better at this point. Eli is set up to fail as Dak is set up to fail. If there is too much pressure and not enough running lanes then it doesnt matter who you have on offense.

THAT being said Dak should be playing much better. Not defending him.

3-13 with him last season, my point is even with weapons ELI still is done, Dak the same..we can go over spend on #1 wrs and TEs but really will it help Daks issues?i doubt it..

no draft him let romo come back late 2016 put dak back on bench and let him learn more..his success in 16 actually set him and the FPO back on False hope he gave..Romo then could have retired this season or next and daks third/4th year might be better imo..

There is a QB in MIZZOU that might move up before the draft. He is not on Hebert's level but probably the 2nd best coming out.

Nah, If the line doesn't block, it doesn't matter who the QB is or who the skill guys are. Offense doesn't work. Even as a rookie Dak was an MVP candidate. Didn't have great receiver then either.

Eli is old, but if he had a top 5 line that offense would be balling. Cowboys would be rolling over people on offense. Although no doubt the coaching holds them back as well.

Your theory doesn't hold water. Dak, as a rookie played much better. Its pretty simple stuff. It was the Oline.

Benched for who? Have to have a legitimate option before benching him. Preseason was glaringly obvious Rush doesn't have the arm strength to play in this offense and White is light years away. Might as well have Beasley play qb, believe he was one in high school. Sadly, suiting up Garrett and having him play might be the best option!

Im sorry but it does even with OBJ and Engram right now Dak wouldn't be better, we cant have a QB who doesnt read the defense properly pre snap, stares down the rush and that makes him blind to half the field or all of it and he misses wide open WR/TEs more often then not, and his pocket presence and how to climb in it and move around within it no matter how bad the blocking is, and having to have the perfect storm of team around him to be good, give it up we need someone better them him..Id settle for Tier 2 guy Like Romo was , not Elite, but look at DWatson even against us found a way to move around enough to complete balls when it counted..he was under duress all night and got it done more times then not..Dak did not..Dak is Tier 3 not horrible but really would be better suited as aback up or a team around him that is SB ready and can hide his deficiency's..i defended Dak all last season, off season , after game 2 but I can NOT anymore..its on tape the guy doesnt have "IT" Hes gun shy now just has a lot of issues, too many to overcome IMO..as diehard I hope he gets it fixed I can care less whos our QB if they are performing to higher level..Im not Dak hater but im relaist and its broken big time

can white or Rush be worse? maybe they need 4/5 games each with the same 1s daks playing with to really know what we have or down have.. can it be much worse? if we are going down its time to see who we have..if we are trying to salvage the season go get a KAP and see if he can be better..proof will be on the field..

so if Dak goes down there is no viable back up again,both back ups are garbage is what you are saying, well Dak is garbage at this point no better than Weeden (never saw a prettier ball thrown) or Cassell during the season before the Zeke draft so what difference would it make to see what either can do for a few games, maybe the benching will enlighten Dak , you can always start him again. Sorry but the Jones boys are incompetent buffoons.

This is precisely why I'm worried about the Giants drafting a top level QB next draft. Give a young stud QB a year or two and that Giants team will be real competitors.
 
Eli is quite possibly one of a handful of QBs worse than Dak. Also, their defense is a dumpster fire, and has been for 2 years. Shurmur is a joke, as well. We're actually pretty similar to the Giants. If you put OBJ on the Cowboys, he likely would have about the same production, considering the QB struggles to throw for 200 yards in a game.

To be honest, I'd be OK with this if it means we're in position to draft Tua in 2020. He's supposed to be the next big thing.
