Looking at draft post Hardy signing

I think Marcus Peters CB will be the BPA when we pick. I'd be thrilled to have him. I'd take him over Gurley in a hard beat. I still hope we resign McClain because I don't think we're good enough at the moment at LB and I don't think any LB will be worth taking in the 1st round. I also think we'll be alright at RB with who we have now plus a 3rd rounder. Give me best pass rusher or CB in the 1st.

"Looking at post Hardy and AP draft" :)

I wouldn't want a trade back or trade up situation. Stay put and take a good player. In my perfect world, that player would be Malcolm Brown (if he drops) or Eddie Goldman to play DT. This would solidify the DL for years to come with a top notch talent at the 1tech, along with a 3rd rounder who is an up and coming 3tech, a Pro Bowl talent at one DE spot and a 2nd rounder with upside going into his 2nd year at the other DE spot. Trenches would be nearly complete on both sides and I'd be happy. Although, I would continue drafting DL high in drafts for rotation purposes and to replace players when contracts come up.

Stay put and BPA. Prefer best available CB, DL, OL, LB. I'd prefer RB in 3rd unless Gurley or Gordon in 2nd, which I doubt).

If we sign Hardy today, we will be going into the draft with 2 huge needs RB and CB.

in my opinion the biggest need being CB, i also think Gurley will be there at 27 not sure what CB will be,

Question is if we sign Hardy then does that mean Marcus Peters is on the draft board?

when you look at our record as regards trading up I hope we don't.

If a guy like Jaelen Strong is there at 27 I'm seriously considering it, if we get Hardy that is.

Hell no, don't trade up.

Staying or trading down depends who's on the board.

I'm not a full out BPA believer and don't think most teams are either. We need defense, DL and secondary players like you mentioned. If our number comes and the best player available is a center, I personally wouldn't be too thrilled with that choice. I think it's BPA in your areas of need.

Or trade down...

If we don't resign McCLain and Kendrick is there, I feel very strongly he is the pick. I think I would prefer Peters, but Kendrick is a more immediate need and a safer bet IMO.

Assuming we sign Hardy, DT would move up the list the way I see it. We got Crawford at one spot and a bunch of jags at the other spot in the middle of the D-line. Right now technically we have somebody on all the other spots unless they let Carr go June 1st then I'd say you can make an argument for CB. RB, meh we have enough to do the committee thing right now. Having said all that I'd still go BPA at a handful of positions or trade down...

would he be BPA over Gurley?

I don't want to trade up but I would like to see Shelton next to Crawford. Hardy | Crawford | Shelton | Lawrence.
