BTW, I'm looking at game again...
First drive ball on 35 1st and 10, good protection, Romo holds ball to long instead of hanging in the pocket and stepping up he gets scared, looks lost, and fumbles....

2nd possesion ball on the 40, good protection, panicks and throws ball away.. then fumble snaps, no one touches him.....then instead of going for it on 4th and 1 we try a 50 yard FG---I know it was 48 but come on 4th and 1.....

3rd possesion, 1st and goal, 1st play wildcat, stupid...2nd and goal from the 8 shotgun formation, then 3 steps drop, panicks again, all he has to do is step up to the right had a whole passing lane, but spins left and gets sack... 3rd and goal from the 14, shotgun formation, drops back panicks again, all he had to do was step up and hit crayton over middle for TD, but Romo spins left again and throws ball away......

The only reason why I bring this up because while looking at game I saw the same thing so I just had to watch the first 3 series again because that to me was the telling point of the game to me.... 3 times in scoring position, one lousy FG...

While they were getting a little pressure it was coming from containment outside and Romo kept rolling right in to it....TO me looking at game again at least the first 3 series of the game Romo looked scared and lost...

It wasn't Romo's day for sure - he could have been much better.
Obviously everyone is talking about the pressure, but Romo actually seemed to struggle to find open RCVRs to me.

I blame the Cowboy's failure on the leaky O line and the kicker. Momentum is everything. Failed protection ends up in negative plays (a lot of those on Sunday) and that kills momentum. Missed FGs end drives and also kills momentum. When your O line allows 20+ QB pressures and 6 sacks, it's not on the QB it's on the O line. Romo is known for a quick release, if he's getting hit 2 seconds after the snap it's not his fault.

The first 3 possesions Romo choke he had time.. all he had to do was step up, in the first 3 possesion their was absolutely no pressure up the middle. he got scare and tried to run b4 pressure got to him...... after that once Minne knew he was scared that went all out, plus after the 3rd series that's when Flo got hurt.....

Yeah. Romo was rattled from the start and never was able to get into a groove. I still havent looked at the game again. I cant stomach that for awhile.

Aaron Rodgers dealt with the pressure just fine. He was pressured all day and the Pack still managed to score points. While the outcome was the same, the Pack stayed competitive. I'm tired of hearing that it wasn't Romo's fault.

We can't tell from watching on TV, but I'd like to know if the WR's were getting open. I have a feeling that they weren't.

He has to deal with poor o-line play all year and I'd say that they have adjusted to it by making routes shorter, etc....The Vikings don't come with the same game-plan against every team and we don't have the same game-plan that the Packers use....so stupid point, IMO.

I had to, honestly after the first 3 series, I was hot, what I saw was no chemistry, what I mean by that is we have no offensive identity.. I have no idea what we are gonna run, it's likes we make plays up as we go along....

Like the old Cowboys had the Irvin deep out.. The quick pass to novachek, or simply Emmitt.... We keep running that stupid pass draw..

If you factor in the noise and the pressure, it was tough for a QB to be successful. Also, if we were getting the D looks we expected (which Romo looked to me like we weren't), it could have been a situation where he quickly got very uncomfortable. All the pressure, the noise and then being a little confused on their scheme or not seeing open RCVRs, it probably all contributed to Romo looking out of synch.

I am a big Romo fan but he wasn't good. He looked uncomfortable for most of the game.

The oline was much worse than ROMO however.

Exactly, we have no short game. I didn't see us dink and dunk all year, ala Peyton manning, Eli, Brady....just hit short passes... pretty much 80% of our passes are look deep first then throw short..... Man I hate Jason Garrett...

This is true. can't wait to see the game film broken down. I can almost bet that there was a coverage to take away Austin. They seemed ok with letting Witten catch some balls.

The funny thing is that Roy was covered by Dontonio all game. So was it that Romo didn't see Roy or that Roy just sucks.

I believe that latter to be true.

Look Romo didnt have a great game by any means but He didnt choke.

The Vikings took away the short stuff and got pressure with 4 guys. If there was anybody open it was down field in longer plays. Romo just didnt have the time to let them develope hense why he was holding on to the ball. GArrett did not adjust to this and Romo ended up running for his life and getting sacked.

understand the game before you go out and say Romo Choked.

The whole team is to blame, but I think the Oline takes most of it.

The Packers also went home a week earlier than we did.

Point being?

I think it killed us that Romo had no confidence in Roy and never targeted him. They singled him all day. Rolled the coverage to Austin. Romo had to try and hit RW in my opinion (BTW, I don't like RW, but it killed our offense that we have a RCVR that was never even looked at). I am surprised Phili didn't do that (single Roy and never help). Romo should have thrown some balls up for him to catch. In my opinion, the singling of RW and the fact that we didn't throw one ball to him is a huge point that people aren't talking about.

B4 halftime, 2nd and 11, Viking blitz no one within 4 yards of Romo, throw off back foot, low to Witten for a catch.. 3rd and 3. Romo forces ball into triple coverage high to Austin incomplete, Choice wide open in the flats for easy firsy down, little pressure, but all it was was a quick shovel pass to Choice who would of easily pick up 1st.....
