Actually it is plausible we take three wins and a false sense of security into New Orleans and Seattle and get absolutely destroyed.

St. Louis is the only win I see right now, seriously. We could be looking at a 1-5 start out of the gate.

Then Dallas would end up with a set of good draft picks. Any compensatory picks for next year?

1-5, you are generous! Romo looks like he is over the hill and not the Romo of old who can pull a win out of his a!!! I am thinking of redoing my prediction from 8-8 to 5-11.

With the possible exception of St. Louis, other teams fans are looking at their teams' schedules and circling Dallas as a win. The Dallas team that we watched yesterday is a punching bag for the top dogs in this league.

What did anyone see yesterday that thinks this team can even win 1 game? That was 1989 bad

For most of us, I don't think its the losing that is killing us. I think its the losing without a plan and without hope.
We aren't losing with a kid QB. We aren't losing with a new football guy running the team that just hired a brand new head coach and they've decided to really gut the team and have a 2-14 season and then a 4-12 season etc.
This is an organization that puts a band-aid on things in hopes of staying relevant, which leads to .500 seasons and the same old thing every year.

Great post.

This is why I believe many perform mental gymnastics just to manufacture "hope."

I had 5 wins total, so I could see them splitting the Titans and Rams games. They have a chance against Houston to win. They will be unhinged and dismantled by both the Saints and Seahawks.

Put me down for a 2-4 start.

It's plausible.

It's also plausible -- not likely, but plausible -- that they they go into New Orleans and Seattle and play close winnable games.

I would like to make our general manager a punching bag.

Tennessee will not be a cakewalk, and neither will Houston. I watched parts of those games yesterday. Both teams are setup to exploit Dallas' weaknesses.

It also would not surprise me if we beat either Tennessee or Houston, then lose to the Rams. This team has a knack of not showing up for games they should win. St. Louis could be one of those games.

I see 2-4 at best, 1-3 at worst going into Seattle and New Orleans.

We said the same thing about Josh McCown and Matt Flynn last year and were taken to the woodshed, some Cowboys fans never learn.

I'm not saying this part of the schedule is easy by any means, I'm just saying there isn't anything that sticks out and makes me think it's any more difficult than other teams schedules.

I think we all know the cowboys are bad this year, so I'm not pumping sunshine

It's really too early to call. If Romo plays great against Tennesee and Dallas wins, some will be talking playoffs.

Based on our past few seasons, 3-3 is most likely ... but I really wouldn't be surprised by any loss or victory.

We'll make through that stretch 4-1. It's going to be funny to watch Romo crap his pants at Seattle! Dez will definitely miss series with a toe nail 'injury'

Disclaimer on the above:prediction is subject to change if the QB continues to crap the bed
