So it's looking like one WC could come from the West - Seattle and Rams. Interestingly enough, the team some around here thinks isn't that great - the Eagles - might be our allies late in the year as they play Seattle and the Rams back to back. We may need them to win one or both of those games.

I think GB will fold eventually and the Lions are just OK. So look to the South where the Panthers are 5-3 and Atlanta is 4-3. That game in Atlanta in two weeks is MASSIVE.

4-3 is not the end of the season but there are 4 wild card teams that can keep us our of the playoffs. The schedule looks tough but a 9-7 record and some help from those other teams, and we stand a chance of a wild card place.
Why are we conceding the division to the Eagles? We are two back in the loss column, and we play them twice yet. They have as tough a schedule as anyone going forward.

I'm not giving the NFCE to the eagles just yet. Falcons haven't looked like the Falcons of last year so far, and KC hasn't exactly been playing great the past 2 weeks either. If we take care of business and handle the eagles at home in a few weeks I think we're the favorites.

They actually do not have as tough a schedule as anyone. Their schedule, especially compared to ours, is not as tough.

Unless Wentz breaks both legs the Eagles will have to totally collapse for them to not get the Div champs. I know that things can and do happen but do try to be realistic!!

My original post speaks for itself and is just as realistic as conceding the division to the Eagles with 8 games to go in the season.

Your post kind of stretched the truth. The Eagles do not have a very tough schedule the 2nd half of the year. Football Outsiders has their 2nd half schedule rated 22nd in the league. Ours is 2nd.

I don't disrespect your opinion...and my hunch is that the Eagles do probably have a more complete roster. But the reality as stated above is...if we win both Philly games we are virtually tied and would hold the tie-breaker.

We can win both those games.

We can also lose both games. Get me through the next two and then I'll see how realistic it is for us to sweep them. We've played two flawed teams the last two weeks. I am not sure we are "back" just yet. This weekend is a great test of where we actually are. At home, that's a very winnable game and could signal to the Eagles to start paying attention to us.

Green Bay won't do anything without Rogers. I watched since Rodgers went down and they look worst than us in 2016 without Romo. Hundley is worst than Moore

Because it's almost November and it was the first time we won 2 in a row. The eagles have won 6 in a row. So until we show some consistent winning there is no reason to think about the division right now
