Looking back on it, who would you rather have?

Would Romo's career be over had we not drafted Smith when we did by way of taking more hits and sacks?

Would JJ Watt be on the same level on our team?

I know this has been covered before, I just find it to be interesting.

Best (arguably) LT in the NFL, or best DT in the NFL?

The wayI see it we are a legit SB contender and Smith is a major part of that. We have no way of know where we would be as an organization with Watt and without Smith

Who us our LT right now without Smith?

Watt is in his prime right now, the dude isn't going to continue having 20 sack seasons every other year. The same with Ware. What you'll be left with is a DE who gets you about 12-15 sacks a season. Obviously, still highly productive, but Tyron has the ability to play like an All-Pro for another 8-10 years or so.

Give the young stud LT.

Romo's health is the #1 priority for this team.

Not a popular opinion, however, I see Watt as a once in a generation player. So far in his brief career he looks like the best DL to enter the league since Reggie White came out of the USFL in 1986.

Tyron is a top 2-3 tackle, but certainly not that kind of generational talent.

Having said all that, it's too early to make a call. Ask me in 6-7 years.

If Houston ever actually had a good QB, but he had a terrible OL and never had any time to throw (ala and Andrew Luck type situation) I wonder how Houston fans would respond to this question. Of course they'd say Watt now because they have never had a QB actually worth protecting, but if they had one I'd be curious what they'd say.
