True!I wasn’t either but I didn’t like the LVE pick and I felt like we should’ve addressed receiver before the third....I was wrong on both accounts and I’m guessing many were. They take chances. Sometimes it pans out sometimes it doesn’t.
My CFO, a Penn State grad, begs to differ.
Hey. Lets be real here. Mcclay gives the player reports. The coaches weigh in and draft. Hill was a ROD choice. Cant blame Mcclay for stupidity on the coaching side
Here we go again.Trysten Hill is a B-U-S-T.
Unfortunately, I think it is.Is this thread serious?
McGovern didn’t have injury problems
At Penn State. He started every game his last two seasons. Most penn state fans think highly of him.
you don’t know what you’re talking about or just making things up.
I love me some Will McClay, but this can't happen again if we're going to pay big money to multiple players.
Trysten Hill is a B-U-S-T. They need to cut bait there fast. There's no "other" side to that dude. One tackle. He sucks.
Connor McGovern has a history of injuries, and might never see the field here. He wasn't beloved at Penn State at all.
Pollard is nice.
Michael Jackson is a Chief now.
Joe Jackson is just a guy.
Donovan Wilson is a maybe.
Jalen Jelks is bye-bye in the car-car.
After years of fantastic drafts and one Taco "oops", this draft looks dry as a bone. Not good.
Fan Boys:" We are the best drafting team in the league!"
After getting almost nothing so far from this draft class...
Fan Boys: " You can't judge a class until several years down the road."
After cutting 1st round pick after 2 seasons....
Fan Boys: "All teams miss in the draft. Plus, our d-line is loaded and he isn't better than the guys we have"
Taco starts 4 games, registers 17 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 safety, 4 QB hurries
Fan Boys: "Ummm, Go Cowboys?"
The reality is while it is too early to judge a prospect, it is not too soon to be disappointed by the lack of production from this class. This team and fans here have been beating their chests about ignoring free agency and just "building through the draft." When you claim this is your primary method for roster building, you cannot miss on your top picks. Especially Trysten Hill, who was supposed to be a pass-rushing 3Tech, where this team desperately needs someone to step up and take reps.
It's also not too early to learn from the mistakes and stop listening to the voices in the war room he pushed Taco over TJ Watt and Trysten over Thornhill. Hopefully, the Cowboys has some sort of postmortem process and when they evaluate what went wrong with those picks, they remove those people from the decision-making process.
The thread will be linked to as an I Told You So if Hill and McGovern's careers never blossom.
Good point. Very well could’ve.Did he trade for Quinn too?
How many guys in here do you see saying Hill is gonna be a stud?Slanted opinion there.
It will also be linked as an I Told You So if Hill ever turns out to be anything.
Your implication that only negative posters drudge up old posts is pure garbage.
hey all he needs is a7 games to prove its all a waste...what else could they complain about....its a Whine and Cheese party seemingly these days at the forumWhat? You want to cut bait on Trysten Hill after half of his rookie season?
You already know that Joe and Wilson are already wasted? Not to mention McGovern?
Wow. You are either a prophet or you are a misguided, emotional football fan. Not sure which.
