it is what it is...as others have mentioned, Shanahan was pretty mediocre once Elway retired...I dont see anyone like Elway in Washington

I thought so too. But that means Gruden and Cowher are both still out there (I'm assuming the Holmgren to Cleveland thing is done). I would prefer either Gruden or Cowher more than Shanny.

Gruden's happy where he is, and Cowher will more than likely be shooting for the Carolina job. Just what I've been reading, don't shoot the messenger.

That's what I heard too. But you can only hope. Maybe Jerry throws a bunch of money their way and uses his "great" sales technique. That did get Parcells here.

As per ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning, Mike Shannahan is now interviewing with the Washington Commanders.

This has to make Jerry Jones very nervous if he had Shannahan on his radar if/when Wade Phillips is fired. :bang2:

Shanahan's system would have been a pretty poor fit for the personnel we have on the roster.

We will be playing for 4th place every year. Say what you want about Shanny...but the guy can coach, and having another quality top notch coach in the division is not a good thing.

That's basically what I'm thinking. We're 3-2 in the last 5 games vs. the Skins and our avg margin of victory is like 3 pts. Anyone who thinks Zorn is even on the same planet as Shanahan as far as coaching needs to put down the pipe.

What ties? Phillips has never worked with Shanahan that I know of, Shanahan replaced Phillips in Denver and Phillips felt like he was jilted form everything I remember.

Most people consider Snyder a far worse owner than Jerry and even more of a meddler, if they hire Shanahan whats that say for your theory?

I wouldnt be surprised if Wade retired if he isnt back as HC here. Also wouldnt surprise me if he went back to San Diego and replaced Rivera, who's been mediocre as a DC there.
